Group RP Pokémon Fusion: Rise of the Hybrids (IC Thread)

"Let's go! Let's go!" Was all the Golduck hybrid needed to say. Not looking back, Benison made a beeline towards the door, dodging anything that would be an obstacle. Be It grunts, the humans in blue uniform, or their Pokémon, Benison avoided them almost as if they were the plague. He can't remember how long it has been since he's seen the outside world, and being so close reaching that freedom, it was making him almost desperate.

As soon as he stepped one foot outside the door, he quickly had to shield his eyes from the sunlight, only being used to the lights inside the labs. The sudden blindness did not stop Benison from running forward, only stopping once he was a few meters away from the door. Once his vision finally came back to him, did he finally look back to see if anyone was left behind.

 

As soon as the Dazzling Gleam was shot, Altale managed to slip away from the crowd and run as fast as she could. However, she wasn't quick enough that an Arcanine belonging to one of the people in blue would notice her running away. Said Arcanine immediately ran up to Altale, then grabbed her and threw her to his back.
"HEY!!!" Altale yelped in surprise when she was flung to the Arcanine's back out of the blue.
"You're going to the exit, right? Hang on tight!" the Arcanine shouted a little bit due to the chaos happening around them, then sped up to the exit door where Auron and the others were waiting. That didn't stop Al to watch her surroundings, though.

Soon enough, Altale and the Arcanine arrived at the exit door where Auron and the others had been waiting. Seriously, the Arcanine's speed was actually faster than Al's full speed if she were to run all by herself, so the sudden ride earlier was much appreciated. "Thank you, uh..." Al thanked the Arcanine only to realize that she didn't get his name. "...Leslie," the Arcanine said upon seeing Altale's confused look. "Everyone call me that," he continued.

"And now that we're here..." Leslie turned to all of the Spliced there and the opened door behind them and used Roar with all his might, blowing all the hybrids away. And yes, he purposefully drove them out from the secret base where they were hidden all this time. The Arcanine then turned his back on the door, quietly wishing the hybrids good luck.

Outside, Altale shook herself out after being blown away by Leslie's Roar. In a way, she kinda worried about him, considering all the chaos happening in the base. On the other hand, she and her fellow Spliced needed to get as far as possible from that place.
Leslie...

 

Shale blinked in surprise at the sight of Altale getting tossed onto the back of an Arcanine, who proceeded to carry her all the way to the exit doors. She tensed for a moment, ready to attack, then saw that the Arcanine posed no threat. In fact, quite the opposite, the Arcanine seemed like it wanted to help.

The Arcanine dropped Altale off, opened its jaws and roared. The sound made Shale flinch. Then the force of the attack sent both her and Altale flying out through the doors and to freedom.

She gave a cry of surprise as blinding sunlight struck her eyes. Shutting them tightly, she flapped her wings and awkwardly righted herself, then landed heavily on the ground. A small gasp escaped her. She actually standing outside on real grass.

"Did we really do it?" she cried, her eyes shooting open as she glanced around.

 

"Yeah..." that was all Altale could say as she was on the verge of crying in joy. She did worry about Leslie, but also believed that he'll be fine. Looking around, Al wondered, "How about the others? Have everyone got out safely?"

 

A quick check of the area revealed Benison not far off. She'd already seen Hydro leave and she caught a glimpse of Auron near one of the vehicles. Altale was out too, which just left... Umo. The strange Golurk looking splice. But Umo was more than capable, plus she had at least seen her make it to the top of the stairs.

"I think that's everyone!" she said, feeling a bit giddy with excitement. She swished her tail across the ground, delighting in the feeling of actual grass and leaves. If not for the fact they were still in the danger zone of the facility, she would have taken more time to enjoy or freedom. "The Golurk one is still back there, but I heard her coming, I think she'll be ok." She darted toward the forest, intent on staying out of sight.

She took another look around. Auron seemed to have vanished somewhere for the time being. "We should probably get out of sight though. If more of those humans show up, they might try and catch us."

 

Altale nodded in agreement at Shale's suggestion. "Yeah, but..." she hesitated. "Wonder where to hide...?"

 

After being sent away by the Arcanine's roar, Benison landed on a small patch of grass on the distance. Instead of immediately standing up, he continued lying on the grass, feeling it in his back and relishing the feeling of nature once more. At long last he was finally out of that lab. He no longer needed to deal with those scientist; No more experiments; No more tests; No more solitary confinement. Once he felt like he had been lying to the ground for long enough, he stood back up, and verified if once again everyone had made it out. The giant was missing, but he assumed it wouldn't last long.

"Wonder where to hide...?" He heard the ampharos hybrid whisper. Not really thinking up of a proper response, he says the first thing that comes to his head.

"Anywhere but here." Benison spoke. "I don't know about any of you, but I've been down there for so long that I don't remember anything about the nearby area. If any of you know of any nearby places we could hide, then great. Otherwise, I think we're better off heading deeper into the forest, and away from this place in general."

As soon as he was done talking, a loud crashing sound came from the building once more. Looking up, Benison saw a large figure busting through the roof of the lab, somehow flying with rocket prepelled feet. He than noticed that it was the friendly giant they met earlier, and it seemed like it was looking around the forest. Benison assumed that the golem was looking for them, so he decided to alert them about their position. Not wanting to shout, he decided to whistle just loud enough for the golem to hear it.

 

The "boom" crashing sound from the building also got Altale's attention too. She looked up to find that gentle giant from before flying like a rocket (no, really). Knowing that it's her, Altale waved her hands as she called her out via telepathy, especially considering that it's impossible to shout out loud without drawing attention.

HEEEY, WE'RE HEEEEERE~

 

After getting his feet back to the ground, Hydro looked at his wings. He had just flew. he again tried to flap his wings. But this time he did not fly.

 

As Shale started to move deeper towards the woods, she heard a loud explosion and turned around to see the titan blast straight through the roof of the building (which was very satisfying to see, as some of the building actually crumbled.) Served them right.

Without waiting any longer, she continued to the north. Altale and the titan seemed to have it all together, and Benison seemed fine as well. As she flew through the woods to the clearing she heard Umo mention, she spotted Hydro a short distance away, awkwardly flapping his wings.

Altering her flight course, she made a beeline for him. She paused a couple feet away. "Um hey... So I know I'm not an expert, but maybe I can help." Without waiting for him to give confirmation, she continued. "It helps to think of flying not like just flapping wings, but kind of like scooping the air with your wings. Actually... I hear its kind similar to swimming." Maybe that would help? If he was part Greninja, he probably knew how to swim.

 

Got it! Altale replied. She then redirected her telepathy to the other hybrids on the land, relaying what the Reuniclus just told her.

Hey guys, Altale here. There's a clearing a bit further north from here. Let's meet up there, our giant buddy is waiting.

And as soon as she's done, Altale made her way north, hoping to find the clearing her giant buddy talked about.

 

Hydro nodded at Shale. He again flapped his wings this time curving them inwards. And a few moments later he was hovering slightly above the ground. He landed back when he stopped lapping his wings.

"Thanks for the advice, " he said, "Anymore advice to give?"

 

"That's just about right," Shale replied. She paused to consider for a moment and gave her own wings an experimental flutter. Her mind traveled back to when she and her brother had only just evolved, before they were separated. He'd been the better flier of the two of them and had ended up teaching her. "Um... try to get used to how the air moves. Its like water, so it has its own currents and everything. It's a 'living thing'. So you have to push yourself through the air, and learn to master it."

She paused again to think. "That's all I think. The others are going to meet at a clearing nearby. we should probably head that way."

 

Benison, like all the other hybrids, had received the psychic message, telling them to meet up in the clearing up north. Except Benison wasn't very enthusiastic about the way he received the message. It wasn't to say that he didn't like it when psychics talked in his mind, but with his new horns on his head, it felt like he received psychic frequencies much more differently. To him, psychic energy felt much more surreal now, and did not like the new feeling all that well. It doesn't help that attempting to use his own psychic abilities causes him pain. But pushing the alien feeling aside, he followed the psychics advice and headed north.

After a bit of jogging, and pushing through foliage, he had finally made it to the clearing. Looking around to see if anyone else was there, he noticed a familiar looking Golduck standing by a nearby pond. Seeing as he had nothing better to do, he walked up to the fellow hybrid.

"Staring at your reflection, huh?" Benison began, standing behind the Golduck. "A few of the testing chambers had mirrors, so had a chance to get a look at myself. Couldn't believe it myself at first, but all the test and experiments forced me to see reality. This is who we are now."
