    A game that releases exclusively in my country as well as its country of origin, and yet I still can't play it. The world truly hates me.​

    Hey guys, [member='Aura'] here with the latest news update for Pokémon GO.

    The game has finally been released in its full version, being available for the last 24 hours on iOS and Android, but only for Japan, Australia and New Zealand. (EDIT: IT IS NOW ALSO AVAILABLE IN THE US, thanks to [member='LostSpirit'] for informing me of this.) Japan's inclusion in this is obvious, but it's quite surprising to see that, of all the places in the world to get it first, Australia and New Zealand get the glory. Being from Australia myself, I know for a fact that we hardly get anything Nintendo-related before the US and EU, so this is both a privilege and a sign that maybe Japan's starting to realise Australia is closer to them than they think.

    In other news, die-hard Pokémon fans have been able to download the game regardless of their country using less-than-acceptable means, and although this has been successful, many people have reported that the game either doesn't work, or they lose access to the game after a while because of their illegitimate copies. Since it has only been active for about 24 hours, the game still has many bugs, and it is reported to drain a phone's battery power exponentially.

    Pokémon GO has also already become a health and safety hazard, with a message from the Darwin Police (Darwin being a city in the Northern Territory of Australia) being released detailing these dangers.

    "For those budding Pokémon Trainers out there using Pokémon Go — whilst the Darwin Police Station may feature as a Pokestop, please be advised that you don't actually have to step inside in order to gain the Pokéballs.

    "It's also a good idea to look up, away from your phone and both ways before crossing the street. That Sandshrew isn't going anywhere fast.

    Stay safe and catch 'em all!"

    The Pokémon GO Plus attachment, which is due to release at the end of this month, will help avoid such disasters by using an LED light and button to play the game while your phone is somewhere else, however it will cost a pretty penny, and then quite a few more pennies after that.

    I had the beta, I can not download the real game since my phone is not compatible but from what my friends show me, it is just a glorified beta. I may download it in the future when I get a new phone but it just is a data drainer, battery sucker, and still in a beta state. I am not really happy with what this has become since it really seems like another game they can use for in app purchases to make money.

    Welp looks like I'll have to wait till I get a new phone since I downloaded it on the iPad and there was no GPS signal (which was to be expected?) so I'm basically a sitting duck there. My siblings can download the game tho and they aren't (I'm the only major Pokefreak in the house), how unfair is that T ^ T

    All aboard the hype train! Even though I'm on vacation and kind of in the middle of nowhere, I've been having a blast with it. It just furthers my hype for Sun & Moon if nothing else. :D So far I've caught a Squirtle, Magmar, Rhyhorn, both Nidorans, a Staryu, and a Spearow.

    It's still not available in my country... I was so excited to hear that Pokémon GO was released but it's available in a few countries only *sigh*

    Good for New Zealand, Australian, and US players, though. Hope you guys are having fun! (And keep an eye out on the road... and street signs)

    I live in Indonesia. That country isn't even in Nintendo's list of countries lmao

    I love how a lot of things had happened within one day of its release (from what I've seen in my newsfeed lol)
    - There are several cafes that offer discounts/free drinks for those who caught rare Pokémon inside the shop and showed it to them
    - One dude walked around a cemetery at night looking for Pokémon and got arrested
    - Anyone heard that teenager who found a dead body while looking for a Pokémon? If that happened to me I would flip
