@[member="122 Generation"] Serena meanwhile, looked up from practicing for the minstrel's competition to see Maria's haul. "Oh--where did you get those?" "I recall seeing a candy shop near here..." Brock replied as he admired the many candies in Maria's bag. "Gummies, lollies, chocolates of every stripe..."
A very delighted Maria nodded eagerly as she peered into her bag of goodies once more. "And how happy I am! Yup, and these are from that very same candy store, Sir Brock! I can't wait!" She unwrapped a mint and popped it in her mouth. Evergreen had rejoined Maria shortly after and was curious to see the number of candies Maria was holding.
@[member="122 Generation"] Serena smiled as she brushed up on a few ballads for the minstrel's competition. Kalski was famous for its chocolate shops, and the royal chocolatiers of Illumis had given her plenty as thanks for performing for Princess Bonnie.
(I'm incidentally using your royal chocolatier idea in the other RP...) While listening to Serena's ballads, Maria shared a gumdrop with Evergreen. Even for the small price Maria paid, the gumdrop was huge - and so big that Maria and Evergreen had to split it. Nevertheless, eating candy was a definite way to bring smiles to their faces. (Oh, and I forgot where the group is now)
(In Arania already, eh? That was quick...) Given the size of the city, Maria was amazed at its prosperity. She also decided to keep walking around with Evergreen as they munched on their candy.
The city of Arania bustled with activity--being a port town, people came from far and wide to trade, take in a tournament, or if they were lucky enough to be there on a holiday or festival day, see the Red Lions parade.
Wow... Maria thought. This reminds me a lot of home! All this trading, those trading posts, the ships... But I see a... Is that a stadium? "Evergreen, what do you think? We don't have one of those, do we?" she said. The Kirlia shook her head.I'm pretty sure we also have something like that, too. Although I wouldn't have a clue as to what would be in that one. Hey, and I think I see a trading post somewhere here too! "Sapphire Bay?" Maria said. Yeah, and a massive one, too, Evergreen added.
In addition to trading and exploring, the docks in Arania were also used to travel anywhere in the world. From touring ships to epic journeys, there were ships for any budget
Maria and Evergreen happily walked along the waterfront to gaze at the ships of many shapes and sizes. At some point, Maria wondered just how did Arania become so prosperous; but then again, the same could be said for Lalusi too. While walking, Maria took out a lollipop and stuck it on her tongue.
( I am soooooooooooooooooooooo sorry, I kept forgetting to reply here also -,- ) yeah next day sounds good, I think I let Kirito sleep under the tree and wake up again, ready for the tournamnt)
@[member="~Seeker Of Shadows~"] @[member="Shadria"] @[member="122 Generation"] (It's okay! Just try and reply regularly) The day of the tournament dawned warm and sunny. A huge crowd had gathered near the arena, and an electricity was in the air as competitors checked in and spectators jostled for a seat. Knights of the Red Lion order were present as well, keeping the crowds under control and escorting spectators to their preferred seats.
(sorry, I'll start posting again. >n<') Seline looked around, abit unsure what to do as she was not participating in the tournament.
(No worries, friends) Maria and Evergreen walked around the roads of Arania again. Even though it was morning, they still had a ton of candies and chocolates to go through as the city was in a state of tension with the upcoming tournament. For the past night, Maria spent time debating with herself whether she should participate in one or not. After all, she was a mere 13-year old who hadn't trained for anything special. But hey, if there were more games to be played, then why not participate? Evergreen walked quietly behind Kirito and Seline shortly after, albeit she was more intent on keeping Kirito in check just in case something went wrong.
@[member="~Seeker Of Shadows~"] "Check in for the magical duels is that way." a magic knight in the armor of the Red Lions replied, pointing out a line of mages signing up at a booth. @[member="Shadria"] "If you like, you can watch the competitions with me." Brock offered. "The gates don't open for another twenty minutes, though."
