Well, as much as I want to, Evergreen's and Snowy's lines pretty much covered what Airin and Brenna might wanna say, so... Maybe someone familiar with Kirby-verse can help?
I know Anime Dedede well enough to say that he probably won't take kindly to intrusion, but I'm not sure how big a threat Mosugaba is to him or how that episode went. Anime Dedede does tend to be mostly uncaring towards his subjects though, so he probably wouldn't budge easily without a fight, unless Mosugaba is dangerous towards him in any regard.
Either way, I've edited my latest IC post a little to briefly explain why the gijinkas didn't bother to say something. Cc: @Azelflover1 @122 Generation @ChocoChicken
Lemme sum the attacks up so far... Airin: Spirit Shackle at Dedede (+ perhaps stopping him from skedaddling) Snowy: Freeze-Dry at Escargoon (she's kinda assuming that he's aquatic in one way or another) Brenna: Moonblast at Dedede Flamberge: BBQ Skewer at both Dedede and Escargoon Evergreen: not sure if she should attack or not The toys: idk -- not specified yet @Azelflover1 What will Dedede and Escargoon do?
@Azelflover1 @ChocoChicken @SAF Before I get the boss battle running. I need to know two things. First, how many participants will be battling? I need to know before I determine the boss’ stats. Second, I also need to know the attack values of your characters’ attacks on a scale of 0-10. Evergreen, Airin, Snowy, Brenna, and the Pokémon toys are exempt as their moves already have values I can look up (eg. Evergreen’s Magical Leaf has a value of 6). Of course, exceptions include moves like Hydro Cannon which will have a value of 15. So what will it be for the others? Else, I’ll have to make up the values myself…
*more mental facepalms* This fight is a 1-on-1 between Yamikage and Kirby. Also, here's what Yamikage looks like:
All right, I guess then the horde will either have individual health bars, or just one massive health bar as a horde with some unnumbered amount?
@Azelflover1 @ChocoChicken @SAF I can use a giant health bar to represent an unknown number of the horde. However, I still need to know the attack values for Kirby and Flamberge, unless you want me to make them up as the battle goes along?
Sorry, I tried to find in-game data to see how much HP each of Flamberge's boss attacks are worth, but I can't quite find em. So I'll list her moves and the equivalent based on in-game and Pokémon moves Spoiler: Man this got long Berge Slash: 3 Berge Rush (Barrage): 1.5 each strike, following multi-hit move Berge Finish: 6, can only be used after Rush - (OR the above three are one combo move (let's call it Berge Bladework), considered 9 in total but dealt over two turns (Flamethrower)) Flam Flambé (Flame Charge): 5 BBQ Skewer (Rock Tomb/Fire Lash): 6 on the ground, 8 if she directly hits an enemy instead of the floor) Scorching Sword Plunge (Vital Throw): 7 Burst Jump (U-Turn but greatly weakened): 2 Burst Step: (Defensive move, a dodge - can work like Agility) Mega Broiler (Blast Burn): 15, but requires 1 turn of charge beforehand This made me realize most of her attacks are purely differentiated by rangee haha Tell me if these need to be adjusted, thanks!
Yeah, with the exception of Hydro Cannon-esque moves as 112 said (which are base power 150 + recharge) which Flame Broiler canonically falls into - if the chargeup fails, she is stunned for a good amount of time. The rest of them are converted from their Pokémon move equivalents by dividing by 10.
This will be really useful! Thanks! Almost forgot that the Kirby game follows a string of combos. And I suppose these moves are comparable enough too.
Anyway, question to @122 Generation: how much would the attack value be for Oceanic Operetta since it's basically an upgrade of Sparkling Aria and only usable once per battle?
@SAF If it's only usable once per battle, we might as well consider it to have a value of 20, which is more than double the power of Sparkling Aria. We're probably not going to put any move at level with Explosion (25).
@Azelflover1 @122 Generation Well, guys, I've asked @ChocoChicken about Life Dew and Flamberge and this is what we got: Spoiler: What Choco said Since Life Dew normally heals, do you think it should hurt Flamberge? Or should it heal her?
