Pokémon Logic

Building on the tree thing, in Pokémon Logic a Zangoose cannot cut down a tree, but a Diglett can. Why? Zangoose has those massive claws. Where are Digletts!?

 

I XY and ORAS the trees that you had to use "CUT", have spikes.

Why Pokémon amie doesn't let me love SLUGMA?

Use Rain Dance underwater. Or Sunny Day. Or Desolate Land!? Why doesn't the Ocean EVAPORATE!!!

 

If you think about it, literally everything in Pokémon will bring up some questions. From the young girls who spend their time alone in the forest with a single Pokémon and give out tons of money upon their defeat, to the mysterious powers of some Pokémon and the moves they used (seriously, if you use Earthquake in a Gym, wouldn't it destroy the building?). But there is only one thing I really want to know...

I can walk into a random persons house, hang out for a bit, go to their bedrooms, and maybe even loot their trash cans, AND NOBODY GIVES A SHIT... HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK???

 

This. Exactly this. Just how and why.

Also, everyone who tells you "Oh, I can tell you're gonna go far, kid! Probably to become the champion!" Do they tell every little kid on a journey this? O.o

 

~Zangoose being unable to learn HM Cut. I've been whining about this to people a lot recently...

~Using fire types (and many other Pokémon) underwater. And what's funnier is that, at least in ORAS, GameFreak tries to show that physics applies underwater so the Pokéball floats really slowly when you use it underwater to send out your Pokémon. But then.. out comes my flaming bird which can attack with Flare Blitz and use Fly.

~Pidgeot is said to have Mach 2 speed but is outsped by so many Pokémon in the game. Including Jynx. Apparently Jynx can run very fast.. if it even has legs.

~Watching the legendary dogs flee from me after I put them to sleep in HeartGold was no fun.

~Regular water heals more HP than a potion crafted specifically for healing Pokémon

That's all I can think of right now. v~V But there maaaany more, I assure you.

 

How you can miss a move when a Pokémon is asleep.

That Empoleon is supposed to live in harsh cold weather, but takes no damage from Sandstorm, but is effected by hail?

And Onix being inside a rock that you smash in a cave... Isn't it close to 30 feet?!

 

When you lose all your Pokémon to a wild Pokémon, you give it your money!? What the hell is a Pokémon going to do with it?

Why can you pet Mesprit in Pokémon Amie!? In the Canalave Library in Sinnoh, there's a book titled "A Horrific Myth", which says at one part: "Dare not touch the Pokémon's body. In but three short days, all emotions will drain away.", refering to Mesprit. So... Why can you just casually pet it and be fine!? I don't get it!

Skarmory, the Armor Bird Pokémon. Skarmory's body is covered with a steel-like armor, and can fly at speeds of over 100 mph.

=> Base 70 Speed.

It's outsped by MILTANK. O_o

As per Escavalier's Pokémon Black Dex entry:

They fly around at high speed, striking with their pointed spears. Even when in trouble, they face opponents bravely.

Where are they even getting this from?

I totally agree with that. I go into everybodys house to loot their garbage cans or to otherwise get stuff. In our world, if somebody were to walk into somebody else's house, they might have a gun pulled on them or the police called on them. Whoops.

 

Well, everyone likes a nap. Insomniacs most likely know what naps are and probably miss them.

For it's how is it that Purugly is so fast?! Look at it!

 

I noticed how you can't get your Pokémon until the age of ten, but there are preschoolers everywhere who have their own Pokémon already. Lame!

 

My favorite is how Wailord is field egg group. All those Skittys and Cyndaquils and the rest of the tiny field Pokémon... Squashed for a single egg... Another I like is how you can ride on a Tailow to fly everywhere, yet there are some water types you can't ride on. What was REALLY funny. I had Wailord use dive, while i was soaring. I used it on Swablu. So one, my Wailord is supported on Latios, it then dives off, and somehow hits this Swablu that's mountain high, and lands back on Latios. Who isn't harmed.
