I loved these! I've never beaten Explores of Time but I remember beating Sky version and I enjoyed it a lot! I was able to beat the main story plot but I've never gone through all the dungeons yet but I'm hoping to once I get back into the series.

Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky holds a very special place for me. To date, it is the only game/book/media that has ever brought me to tears. I cried no less than three times during the story, and I am not, generally speaking, a very emotional person.

Explorers surpasses Red/Blue Rescue Team by a wide margin (even though those were still excellent games), and Gates to Infinity, while good, just isn't up to par. Explorers' villains were despicable, but had their motives. Its heroes were believable, its plot surprising (the words "you two are coming with me" caught me completely by surprise), its ending brilliantly executed.

"Beautiful" is the only word I can find for it.

These games proved that it is in fact possible for a Pokémon game to have a good and grasping storyline. I just hope that one day, they will learn how to apply this into the main series, because that would be simply amazing.
Furthermore, these games were pretty much an improvement on its predecessors in every aspect. My only minor complaint would be that they removed the Friend Areas, and just made a big list. Again, just a minor complaint, but it was something I really liked about the original Mystery Dungeon games, and it's sad to see they removed it.

Probably the best thing about these games is their massive storyline. Seriously, once the credits roll for the first time, you're only halfway through the actual storyline! There is so much to do, and it will take a long time before it gets repetitive.

I admit, the story of the main series can get a little repetitive. However, I find that all Pokémon games (main series included) tend to have excellent villains - Lysandre, Cyrus, Hall, and Primal Dialga, to name a few - with their own motives and characters. Rarely does a Pokémon villain set out simply to be evil. This is especially true for Explorers of Sky, which had no fewer than three major antagonists, all with well-realized characters.

Also, for those who haven't played the game (in which case, what are you doing reading this thread when you could be playing Explorers of Sky?), make sure you play through the credits. A friend of mine shut off their game after the credits began and didn't realize his folly until I told him several months later. Do not make this mistake.

And then we have this game. I loved Explorers of Sky, it was an amazing game in every regard, I have a lot of stuff on my copy and have beaten the Zero Isles and even Destiny Tower. So much to do here, and the final Special Episode with Dusknoir and Grovyle gives one of my favorite moments in the entire series.

These games have a permanent spot in my heart and the only that have gotten me close to tears. Everything about the PMD series captivates me and, while I was skeptical of the concept at first, I was surprised at how easily I became enthralled with the whole series.

I really like these games! The games have that element of darkness that captured me in ways that I don't even understand. There were so many plot twists and it pretty much turned my heart inside out. I don't think Pokémon can ever make mystery dungeons greater than these. So many times where my heart beated fast, where I cried, these games broke me.

These games are wonderful, some of the few Pokémon games that have an awesome plot line and makes you feel so connected to the characters. I cried at the end of Explorers of Sky because I felt so emotionly invested in my partner, Grovyle and the Guild.

Man, do I love these games! Especially Explorers of Time/Darkness. The storyline for those games are just brilliant, and everything about them is fantastic. No matter what, I'll always love them, and hold them dear to my heart.

Time is my favorite. I have restarted it time and time again because I love the story so much, from both a writer's and a player's POV. It felt real to me. I would go on a huge, emotional spiel but I can't remember how to put it in spoiler format.

But seriously. I love Time and I really want to play Sky, but it's becoming obsolete...
