    That’s great. Now we just need a backstory. Do you think that Aeterna’s parents would have made the Rotom Dex and give it to the group or would they just get it as an aid for being small and young new comers?

    I think the guild would give him to them. Because yeah they are small and they’re also young. So I’m guessing Rotom will be our guide that we all feel like we don’t need because he’ll feel like a chaperone that we don’t want. Choco also told me that he wanted to make his Rotomdex character very annoying as well.

    Firstly, thanks to @ShadowJCreed for accepting me!

    Here's a quick backstory.
    Recruited by the guild to become a Dex and guide younger members, Rotom eagerly accepted his new role. However, he tends to be overly cheerful and doesn't always have faith in younger Pokémon to be able to carry out their missions, so he may end up being a bit patronizing at points, and sometimes overprotective. However, as he is now a Dex, he is unable to battle - and often forgets that. Turned away by several older groups in the past (due to being way too annoying), the guild is now attempting to see how he will do with the new group.

    (Is this okay? Also, although Rotoms are usually genderless, I'll be using he to avoid confusion.)

    Yes I agree it seems very good. In this universe though Pokémon have names just like humans so can you also give Rotom a name? I don’t know why Rotom is considered genderless now that we have the Rotomdex with a male voice in the anime the Rotomdex could be a key item in seeing which gender the Rotom is.

    You know, I think working without the dex could work. We could be given the Dex out of worry from the Pokémon who have parents. After even one successful mission, I’d say how the parents would still be worried sick about the group running into the biggest and baddest of the Mons.

    I see Rotomdex as more of an interactive guide than an actual dex. Also, I don’t think Pokémon should have actual Pokédexes since they were created by humans.

    I know it'd be kinda weird but it could be funny to see him step up and look at a Urasaring in the eye but then chicken out and start spouting facts about the weakness and strength of it. It could also keep track of their lvl and moves

    I'd like to have him as a guide/power tracker like Fchicken said. I just think we should get him later in the story when Choco can be available.
