    Dianna wondered what it would be like to travel the world. Getting out of her house, the snow surrounding her hometown, and the oppressive atmosphere of her father. She'd catch of Pokémon from each region, the perfect number of six, and settle down in the Johto region on Cinnabar Island. She'd find the perfect boy, their Pokémon would get along swimmingly, and they'd buy a huge mansion that would allow their teams to wander freely. It would be perfect...

    But first, she had to escape Snowpoint.

    Casey shivered as he wandered through the cold city of Snowpoint, his clothes wet from his trek through a lot of snow. His Weavile, Midna, walked behind him, not fazed in the slightest since she was part ice-type. "I really should have worn more than this sweatshirt..." he murmured to himself, stifling a sneeze. His bright red hair was beginning to freeze up because of the cold, and he had no fire-types to keep him warm. He began to look around the City to find a Pokémon Center.

    Dianna decided to go out. Naturally accustomed to the cold, she dressed only in two shirts, a light jacket, a pair of thermal pants, and snow boots. As an afterthought, she stuffed a hat over her poofy blond hair and trudged outside. She smiled as she wondered around her town, somehow winding up--yet again--at the Pokémon Center. She'd go to this place everyday in the future...but at the moment, she was in no positionto acquire a Pokémon without assistance from someone outside of her family.

    "Thanks." Casey said as the Nurse in the Pokémon Center handed him his Pokéball back. He headed over to one of the lounge spots and sat down, releasing his Pokémon. Eventually, his six Pokémon, Poseidon the Vaporeon, Sahkyo the Shiny Floatzel, Beryl the Goodra, Aatu the Noivern, Chihiro the Florges, and Midna the Weavile were sitting in front of him. Eventually, knowing they were in a Center, they each went off to either get food, sleep, et cetera. Only Poseidon, his starter, stayed beside him, curled up on the cushion next to him.

    Dianna entered the center and shook the snow off her shoes. She could hardly contain her excitement for seeing, and possibly interacting with, the new Pokémon and trainers that had come into Snowpoint to challenge the gym. She found an empty table near the door, sat down, and took out a plain journal with little papers and pictures glued and paper-clipped inside on the paper. She flipped to an open page, and looked around the Center.

    She saw a sleepy, blond-headed boy leaning on his Infernape in the corner; they looked to be waiting for Nurse Joy to heal some Pokémon. Another pair--a Vaporeon (quite rare in Snowpoint since Eevees tended to evolve with the ice rock in Snowpoint) and its trainer were lounging on a couch, other Pokémon occasionally coming up and interacting. Another girl, this one on the older side of about seventeen, was chewing on her lip and talking to her Gardevoir, who didn't respond physically, but instead mentally. Dianna wrote it all down.

    Casey glanced over every so often when people came in. It was normally the usual stuff, just trainers looking to heal their Pokémon or get a bite to eat. Although one girl caught his attention. She didn't come in with any Pokémon, and from the looks of it, she wasn't even a trainer. His curiosity sparked, he stood and walked casually over to her. "Hey." He said, grinning.
