Pokémon X and Y Discussion Thread

Generation 6 is here for the 3DS! Due to be released in October Worldwide.

 

The graphics look pretty cool to me. I just don't like the fact that its on 3DS because I don't have one and the chances of me being able to buy one with parent's permission are about 1%

 

I'm so glad I got a 3DS now. I got it for the new PMD games but now this is coming, it makes it so much more worth the money!

 

Well, at least it's not coming until October, so maybe I'll have a chance to actually get a 3DS within that time. If it was due to be released sooner than that I would definitely feel like they rushed Gen V. They had better be implementing a way to transfer Pokémon from at least Gen 5 over to Gen 6 by IR or something, I'll be pretty upset if they don't, I've spent 200+ hours getting what I have gotten so far on Black 2.

 

I'm pretty sure they will keep that feature, since you will have a 3DS and DS you will be able to do it with yourself.

 

I really hope so, and it's a reasonable expectation of them to say the least.

 

The first thing I said when I saw this was; "FINALLY! A 3D Pokémon GAME!"
Been wanting one of those for ages~ And they finally have one. The graphics look pretty sweet too! And the starters... I like more than 1! :'D
The name of the games are a neat twist. I was wondering why they were straying from the color/gem names. But it's pretty cool nonetheless.
I'm pretty psyched about this though. Can't wait to hear more about it!

I'm sure there will be some way to allow someone to trade a Pokémon over to X and Y. o3o Or I'm hoping anyways lol. I wanna bring over some of my Pokémon just to see them in 3D xD

 

Possibly a glitch, but I fixed the double post anyway. The more I think about it I am almost certain there will be a way to transfer. This is going to jump the number of Pokémon up into the high 700s or low 800s, and I can't see them putting every single Pokémon ever released in these games (although I would love it if they did).

I have to say I like how it's going to be a worldwide release with none of this waiting for six months to catch up to Japan, like with all of the others.

 

they better implement a transfer feature that will enable Gen V Pokémon to be transferred or I would be very unhappy...

 

The thing that hugely sells it for me is the new battle animations! Shame about sprites, but I'm sure they'll be in the Pokédex! (If 3d models are in the Pokédex, then Pokédex 3d pro is a waste of money )

 

Ah yah I never thought about that but since the game is in 3D, I wonder if any sprites will be available xD There always has been but now there might not be

 

Ok now I know that I need to get a 3DS I am excited hey who knows maybe I might have enough Money by then to get these games for My brother and me this looks awesome.

I watched the trailer. Then, my mind exploded.

HOLY SHIM RIMMINY DING DONG THIS IS GOING TO BE SO AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING! (My birthday's in July, so i'll DEFINATELY have enough money for a 3DS by then =D)

So, the starters. We have Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie. This excites me since there is a low chance of Fennekin being a fire/fighting type ^-^

 

I would transfer my blaziken if there is only one transfer.
But, i am very excited to see the 3d effects added to pokemo and the legendaries look prety Boss
And i believe this is the first time they release the game at the same time all over the world
Looking foward to some great gameplay

 

I dunno what to think, I'm so used to seeing sprites and now we have a 3D Pokémon...Prolly gonna take some getting used to.

On the other hand, that fire-fox Pokémon is adowable. Definitely going to be my choice xD

And my wallet will explode from getting both games at once....

 

I can't wait, the games have already shown me I will love them!

 

I just realized that using 3D cell-shaded graphics, that shiny Pokémon will (well, can) look amazing, as they can be made to look actually shiny. Not just re-colored with some sparkles as they come out, but really have a distinct shine to them. I really hope this is implemented.

 

I am going to be keeping an eye on this game, so far so amazing.
