I know, right! It kind of ties in with the new anime series they're going to air, doesn't it? I find that kind of interesting.

Sylveon is one of the first shinies in a long time that I actually kind of prefer over the normal design. The only other ones I can think of right now are Charizard and NInetales.

Yeah. That's looking pretty freaking awesome. I can already see some scenes in there that were just begging that person to turn on the 3D mode, like changing to mega form. I'll be looking at that with the 3D mode as soon as I can.

Woah, the 3D animation looks so smooth!
The trainer says "Go on, Chespin! I know you can do it!" like wow you're actually being supportive of your Pokémon in this one and I think that's really cute. Maybe this is what happens when you use the new Pokémon-Amie feature?
And that part when it says "Chespin is in a bit of a pinch. It looks like it might cry..."
...Well, I don't think I can do a nuzlocke with that message appearing in a near-death situation. Especially if there's nothing I can do to avoid a possible death. I'd feel even more horrible for letting my Pokémon die.

This feature makes you feel more close with these virtual creatures. Nuzlockes would be really hard to achieve, my goodness! I have a feeling I might turn off my system the moment someone dies.

Yeah... I hope they have more to say than just "Chespin Fainted" to go with all that. It would kind of suck if you were to do a Nuzlocke, but I guess feeling bad about letting Pokémon die is one of the big points of Nuzlocke, isn't it?

I wonder how many more Pokémon will be revealed before the game's release? Caught word that it won't be a "full-fledged" generation, which sucks, but then I remembered that since you're actually doing more than battling this time around (and they are all consistently 3D), I get the feeling we will not see a new generation for at least 3-4 years.

I think that it'll be a full fledged generation, since Corocoro could have only leaked, like 9 times in total, due to the game being announced the year it was coming out. And I'm sure Gamefreak knows that releasing a 3d Pokémon game with features like customization, riding Pokémon, sitting on benches, Pokémon Amie, etc but only releasing around 30 new Pokémon along with it would crush everyone's dreams. o 3o

It will definitely be a full fledged generation. They've already said that they want players to run into Pokémon in the wild and not know what it is. They want to have people go online and look up what this Pokémon is and find no information what-so-ever.

Okay, but that only compared it to the fifth generation. The fifth generation had the biggest roster of new Pokémon to date. It sounds to me like, yes, X and Y will be a full fledged generation with new features, and a good amount of new Pokémon.

Mega evolutions were recently released but, do we really need them??? I mean, for one you're completely wasting an item in the battle where you could use leftovers/choiceband/etc....
Some known Pokémon to have some mega evolutions are....

    Lucario....
    Mewtwo.....
    Blaziken....
also, here is a picture of SOME of them...and do you predict that all will have mega evolutions????

Mega Evolutions were covered to death on the day they were released here. However, I just have to say that I love the idea. It's just a new battle mechanic. There's no real reason to ask if they're needed until we know exactly how they work. So far we know that they need to hold an item, because of the intense stat boosts these Pokémon will get, it's safe to say that item will be hard to find. What happens is there's a button on the battle screen that will say "mega evolution" and that's all that will activate your mega evolution. I like the idea, however, because so many people wanted an Absol evolution, but I happen to love Absol. It's easily my second favorite Pokémon. I didn't want to see him evolve and me be stuck with this evolution when I love Absol so much. It wasn't even that I didn't want to see a change in the Pokémon itself. However, the mega evolution is pretty much the perfect solution. Absol gets a stat boost, and a minor design boost. We get something new for him, and at the same time I'll never have to say goodbye to the Pokémon I love since at the end of the battle he'll change back into good ol' Tornado. [Tornado is my Absol's name... Just putting emphasis on it... Oh, you get it.]

What you said about items though, makes sense for the mega evolutions to not be able to have. You're getting a huge stat boost with these Pokémon. Giving them things like Leftovers would make them way more overpowered than necessary.

Well think of it like this. If you give the Pokémon a Choice item, one stat is raised and you can only choose one attack to use. However when a Pokémon mega evolves, a stat or two goes up, AND you can use whatever attack you please. So it's essentially even better than a choice item imo. And as for lefties, well okay so you don't get that extra bit of HP each turn. The purpose of Mega Evolutions seems to be to wreck face, not be defensive (I could be wrong on this). So you don't really need lefties for mega evolutions because it seems to be aimed toward a different battling style.

That's just how I see it though. It's just an optional kind of alternative and so far I think it's great.

Or maybe some Mega evos get a healing ability, or higher defense stats, and stuff where you might not need these Leftovers. I like how this'll screw the previous competitive battler's strategy and I'll just be watching in the corner, winging my game. What strategy? XD

Where did the rumors come out that this would not have a full generation? Sure, Kalos is gigantic, sure the dex will be divided, sure the mons from gens 1-5 would be there, but who said Nintendo can't handle adding a whole 150 mons? It just confuses me since Kalos is supposed to be really big.
