    Hey everyone,

    I didn't see a thread about this, and I thought it'd deserved one.

    Because holy shizzle, that storyline contains some amazing things.
    For exemple: The part directly after you beat the Elite 4 (with AZ)
    The ending of the post-game line with Emma and Looker
    And, the relation between the player and Shauna (I mean, is that like a thing?)

    So go wild, and discuss everything here!

    Eh I'll be honest I was a bit disappointed with this Generation's storyline in the games. I mean come on, predictable and unoriginal the bad guys want to destroy the world. The only thing I liked about it was AZ, the ending after you battle him right after the Elite 4 was a really nice touch. I hope gen 7 has a bit more depth.

    I have to agree with you that AZ was the character that made the storyline good, not Team Flare. The idea of the desire to destroy the world to prevent it form getting uglier... It's rather funny as good. But some parts in the storyline are way better as I've ever seen beofre in Pokémon, so that might be a promise for the future :)

    I rather loved this gen's story line. :3 AZ's part really took the cake! Also, I loved the cute little interactions your character has with the friends like Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor. While I was playing, I couldn't help but think that if I played as the guy, the scenes with Shauna just screamed SHIPPING!! I just wished for the story line to be much longer. I felt rather short changed when I finished it. :'(

    #balconyscene xD
    But yeah, you're right, I always wish there would be more post-game storyline.

    I think the interactions between the characters was the strength of the storyline this time. I might change my mind once I beat the game and get to this AZ thing you guys are talking about. (Yeah... I'm not really avoiding spoilers anymore.) Right now though Team Flare doesn't seem like the strong point in the games. Maybe that's because I'm being too hard on it after we got Team Plasma last generation, and their heavy storyline, but Team Flare just seems to show up every once in a while. I admit it, I'm only on the third gym, so a lot more could happen. However, in Gen V Team Plasma had been fully explained and were executing full plans right after you beat the first gym.

    The interactions with your character and your friends was great. That was well done, the dialogue fit perfectly, and with the exception of (I'm pretty sure I have these names right, but I might not) Teirno and Trevor the characters were all given great personalities. I think the biggest example of that is Shauna. That character was well put together. I admit that if I were to know someone like that in just about anything else I would find them horribly irritating, but it works here. I think a good part of the reason is because she doesn't have a voice actor so I didn't really have to listen to her tone, and could just kind of decide on how exactly she said what she did in a way that I thought seemed fit.

    I don't think the storyline in this game is as strong as it was in Gen V. I could be wrong, I haven't beaten the game yet, but either way I do still find the story to be pretty good. I think the big thing for me is that the evil team isn't really the focus this time. This game seems more focused on just having this trainer be with his/her friends and meet people.

    I do think I've dragged this one for long enough considering I haven't even finished the game and everything I just said could be horribly, horribly wrong. If it is, I don't mind being corrected on it. I have kind of given up on avoiding spoilers since I'm just so interested in these games and whenever I take it out to play I find that all I really want to do is look around at the Pokémon in whatever area and maybe train one. There have even been times when I've tried to play to get past the third gym and I've just sat there for half an hour repeatedly wonder trading, so... Yeah. Point is, I could be wrong. This is just what I've been getting out of it so far. Who knows what will happen once I get past the Elite Four?

    @Shadow Blaze:
    I understand your opinion, but I think your opinion might change when you get further in the game.

    I wouldn't be surprised if it does, but at the same time I guess it works the reverse as well. I'm pretty optimistic about what will happen once I get farther into the game, but at the same time I don't think it will be as strong as Gen V.
