The poke-transfer in black and white

I've been having problems: The game keeps crashing partway through the poke-transfer. Any help?

Like how? Is the it just getting an error? Because maybe the infared connection between the two DS systems is getting interuppted somehow. Unless you're talking about the Pokebank Poketransfer thing, then I have no idea.

Was there any error message when it crashed? Or any type of message? Or it just closes without warning? We need a bit more info O:

Okay, first off, put your two DSes together with a tiny bit of space between them and keep it that way the whole time.

Second off, if you're using a DS and 3DS, it won't work. A DSi can work with the 3DS instead.

Third, if you're transferring less than 6 Pokémon, then put in some more Pokémon into your PC on the other game you're transferring from.

Otherwise, idk. Like Ashe said it would help a lot if you explained a bit more.

This is untrue, I transferred many things from previous generations to the fifth, and between the fifth using a DS Lite and my 3DS.

Huh, for me it didn't work. Maybe just because my DS Lite was reaaaaaaally old. *shrug*

Could have been damage to the little IR receiver if it was old and had been knocked around a lot. Which could also be the problem this guy is having if the IR transfer is even what he's talking about here.

Wait what about the original DS? (big blocky one) Would that work?

Anyways, OP. I know none of the Pokémon can know HM moves if you want them transferred. You also can't transfer eggs or the special pichu. There might be some more restrictions...but then if it's "crashing" it's probably something to do with connection like ppl have said in a prev post. We need more to go on...

I assume so, to my knowledge the DS Lite is simply a smaller version of the original with better screen and button placement.

Well, the IR sensors in DS games were in the actual cartridge iirc

Then perhaps it's not the DS, rather the game's IR cartridge. But the error you're getting with Poketransfer is necessary for helping you out.
