Welcome- I used to have a portfolio here but since I had no images of my previous work and it was all but a mess, I decided upon making a new one. (old one is locked now) Signatures- -Rikka Takanashi Spoiler This signature was made like a year ago and it was different to my style. I tried to do something with effects and it turned out to be like this. I really like the outcome though. Spoiler 2) 707 <3(img is huge) Spoiler oversized but I made it for fun. 3)707 v.2 Spoiler 4) Leonardo Watch sig for kk ( resident nut, butternut xD) Spoiler 5) Random sig Spoiler 6) Gaara sig Spoiler 7)not a sig but a try(2 year old) Spoiler 8) Mystic messenger sig Spoiler 9) Enrique Iglesias signature <33 Spoiler 10) Signature made for Xarn (Kurumi) Spoiler 11) Azelf, Mespirit and Uxie sig-(its huge ss , beware) Spoiler it is all I can find right now. USERBARS- Spoiler it was made for poke, it is not completed version but I cannot find complete one so it is here this one was for poke as well, though I had some problem in animation and yes it is not complete version as well Spoiler this one was for xarn as well with matching avi and sig Spoiler these are two versions of userbar made for TheIllusionFox. Spoiler this one was made for kindred. Will update my more work soon such as lineart. Till that time, see you! Thank you!
I like what you've tried with the fractals and splash art/brushes try looking up a few tuts on composition,c4ds and blending, those will help you improve massively good work mate
If you're using Gimp try using Alpha to Selection to select just the bounds of the render layer so you can avoid some of the funky overlap on top of the render that causes some odd color distortion over the character which I presume is unintended. If you're in photoshop the same thing should be ctrl + left click on the render layer in the layer panel. You can also use this to smudge or blur effects on the render if you want to preserve the light but don't want detailing overlapping the render at the same time or you can use it to invert selection to just get the render ontop of things allowing you to smudge around the render to create a softer transition from the render and the background where desired among other things, tis fairly useful IMO.
I'd like to through out a potential issue with the userbars. Typically people use userbars as a means for a small image appended to their sig as either a supplement to what they already have or a tag for some reason or another like maybe they're in a guild on a site and want to show that publicly without taking up their entire sig space so when you put full sprites like this: That creates a fairly large image that eats up quite a bit of sig space relative to a more traditional userbar. Alternatively to using the whole sprite you could use the bottom bounds of the userbar and cut the sprite in half that way you could still have a pop-out design, but wouldn't have to include the feet or legs of the character drastically cutting down the overall size of the finished. Typical the feet and legs aren't really the main focus of an image anyways and just using busts of things are pretty typical even in physical art like statues if you don't want to do the whole thing it's pretty common to just do chest and upwards or even just slightly below the shoulders. I also wanted to mention the animation cycle, it takes a little bit more space, but instead of letting an animation jerk back to the start if it goes gradually one way take it gradually back the other way so it's a smooth animation from start to finish especially if it's just a short animation to begin with. If size is an issue there are ways to reduce filesize while still allowing gradual animations such as lowering the color pallette a bit, if you're staying in the blue range you probably don't need full 24 bit color and could easily reduce it down without noticeable quality loss.
