I wouldn't mind joining in. What region is this RP going to set in, or is that still undecided? Here's my character, I don't know how detailed it needs to be: Spoiler: Character and Team Name: Virgil Hayes Age: 15 Appearance: Dark blue hair and eyes that constantly look either tired or angry. Like the rest of his family, he tends to keep a blank expression on his face. Tall, average build with scarred hands from a childhood of exploring the outdoors. He has another scar across the back of his neck and shoulders from an incident when he was 7 when he was attacked by a wild houndoom. May come off as intimidating towards strangers. Personality: Doesn't like crowded environments and prefers to avoid people. Tends to be brutally honest toward others, though he knows when it's best to tell a lie. Likes to collect TMs. Comes off as distant and cold to strangers as he's unused to interacting with other people but is a lot more open and casual to people he's spent a lot of time with. Likes philosophising and proving people wrong. Isn't certain about what he wants to do with his life just yet; he hopes to figure it out on his Pokémon journey. Background: His mother, Melanie, trains dark types and his father, Dorian, trains poison types. He also has an older brother named Tynen who's travelled overseas to train ghost-types. Virgil's first Pokémon was a houndour but he traded her for a klefki soon after he was attacked by a houndoom. The incident also left him with a deep dislike for dark-type Pokémon. His parents are Pokémon breeders who live in a mountainous area of the region, and Virgil spent a lot of time exploring the wilderness around their home. He's recently become a Pokémon trainer and has set out to collect badges. TEAM: Virgil favours fairy types. He doesn't properly nickname any of his Pokémon, instead referring to them as shortened versions of their own names. Although he's had Pokémon for a while, he's only recently become a trainer. Due to the houndoom incident during childhood, he has a strong dislike for dark types and is possibly the reason why he likes to train fairies. Klefki (Ki) [M] - Virgil's starter and closest companion. Has a habit of stealing peoples' keys. Likes music. Ability: Magician Nature: Quirky Ralts (Ral) [F] - Newer teammate. Doesn't like battling, so she's at a relatively low level. Can communicate through telepathy. Ability: Synchronise Nature: Gentle
What do you think the geography of the region should be like? Mountainous? Dry? Lots of forests? I think I'm a little biased toward a mountainous region filled with forests, though. I was thinking a little about Gym leaders, I could make four and you could make four if you want to share it a little. I kind of like the idea of the first Gym leader training Dragons (it's a little unexpected), as well as a Dark, Grass and Ghost. Any ideas for a name for the region? I'm just hitting my keyboard at the moment to see what letters we can use. Aslen, Diae, Colet, Sanja...
I wanted to make a dark type leader mountains can take up like a 3rd forest a 6th towns and city's a 4th and plains a 4th.
Plains sound like a good idea, the geography of the region does need some variety. Mountains and plains are a good combination. OK, so looks like we agree on a Dark-type leader. So far we've got Dragon, Grass, Dark, Ghost... We'll need 4 more. Do you want to name the towns and cities after types of stone? E.g. Sandstone City, Amethyst Town, Granite City. It'll be easier than making up words for each place.
That's a good name. So, just to recap: Name: Cobalt Region Geography: Forests and plains Gym Leaders: Dragon, Grass, Dark, Ghost, Fire, Ground, Water and Flying Towns and cities are named after stones This is looking pretty good so far
Yeah and let's have elite four are poison, electric, fairy, Steel, and the champion doesn't have one type sound good
OK then. -- Slate Town was a small settlement, nestled between two mountains in the north of the Cobalt Region. The town was usually quiet as it was located some miles away from the larger towns and cities of the region. But all of that changed one fateful day when a stampede of rhydorns came charging down the mountainside.
It happened so fast and Star had got inured and the pokecenter was wrecked I was so worried I put her in her Pokéball something I've only done once and that was when I was catching her so no one else could.
The largest rhydon threw its head back and roared, slamming its heavy body into the side of a building. Virgil was just able to dive out of the way before he could be crushed by debris. The rhydon ignored him and continued to tear at the building, uninterested in the boy. It stuck its head inside the building and roared again. Were they... Looking for something?
