Ral clambers onto Virgil's shoulders, "Onwards!" she cheers as the doors slide open and they step out onto the street. Virgil points at a side street leading to a more secluded part of town, "That's where I saw them heading." he says.
Since it's still early in the morning, streets are quiet. Nobody is out to bother them as Virgil leads them to the side streets where he saw the people disappear to.
Ral notices faint footprints in the dusty ground, "It looks like we're going the right way." she says.
"If they suddenly stop look to see if previous steps are distorted" Star says as a mystery story lover "if not then look for secret passages"
Ral nods, "Good thinking." she says. Eventually, the tracks stop by an old door, coated in a layer of peeling paint. "Do you guys think they went through here?"
Virgil places his hand on the door, hesitant to just burst into the room behind it, "Can any of you psychics detect anything on the other side?" he asks.
The room's pitch dark, and despite Rise's confirmation of there being a kid, nobody makes a sound as they enter. Virgil fumbles for a light switch for a few seconds before remembering that Star can light the place up.
There's another door at the other side of the room. The room itself is completely empty, save for a little girl standing and facing the concrete wall. She doesn't even move when the place lights up.
