This was my first look into playing a Pokémon game, and it was awesome. Between the interesting region hosting everything from truly vast-feeling deserts to forest cities and the great Shadow Pokémon mechanic, it was one of the best Pokémon side games in my opinion.

Who else enjoyed this spinoff series? And did you ever find a way to purify Shadow Lugia without caving and looking online? xD

I really enjoy Pokémon XD and I think the Orre region was really interesting. It'd be cool if they did more with Cypher and the region.

Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness is my second favorite spin off game, falling just a little short of PMD: Explorers of Sky. The gameplay felt just like the handheld Pokémon games did, while the graphics were drastically improved. I loved the visuals in that game most of all.

No, I never did figure out how to purify shadow Lugia on my own. I ended up searching online for the answer.

Yeah, I had to Google how to purify Lugia too.

I really liked XD:GoD, though I never played Colosseum. I'd be excited for another adventure in Orre, though hopefully they don't PMD3 it.

I have never played these games ._. Does that make me a bad person?

Seriously though, I hear really good things from these games, so I'm definitely willing to check those out some time.

These two were among my favorite games and I'd love to see the Orre region make a comeback, especially on the Wii U. If Nintendo wants the Wii U to get better sales, the best way to do that is to put the pressure on for getting a remake or a continuation of these games.

These games are a ton of fun! I've played them a decent amount when I was much younger so I'm pretty familiar with them. They're a lot of fun. They have an original storyline and a lot of cool & different mechanics throughout the game which really makes these unloved games shine compared to others. Shadow Pokémon are awesome.

I never got to play these, but they seem really fun and I would love to try them at some point in time.

These games where really unique and I loved the concept of Shadow Pokémon. It made the game a lot darker. It was also really nice to see 3d models of Pokémon and it added the aspect of realism that Pokémon kind of needed.

I think that these games may just be the most well done games in the Pokémon franchise.

Both Colosseum and Gale of Darkness were very amazing and well made games, they had interesting plots with a lot going on, a fun and unique region, a funky and lovable Cipher Admin/Wanderer with Disco fever, awesome music, and just...literally the works, these games did everything right. Like some of the member who've posted before me, I'd love to see another game like them be made on the Wii U, maybe like incorporate a further updated version of the Orre region even since it's been awhile.

Sadly I never got to play these games aside from briefly trying Colosseum on emulator on someone else's computer long ago. I still think they're really cool games and a fresh take on Pokémon. Even though I don't have a Wii U, I kinda wish they'd create some remake or a brand new game in the same style as Colosseum. That could be awesome.

Definitely! I think it would really launch the Pokémon franchise even further! I thought that if the games ever were remade for the wii u platform, with updated Pokémon and models, I think it could be one of the franchise's best selling games!
