Pokemon cries

I kinda noticed with Pikachu. In gen 6, it sounds exactly like Ash's pikachu. lol

 

I thought that was the whole point but just for pikachu. That's what made pikachu special. I didn't notice it with the other Pokémon

 

I actually like how they have altered the Pokémon's cries. Raichu, for example. Its cry sounds like a static shock/squeaking sound unlike in the previous games where it sounded like it's screaming.

 

Delcatty scream sounds more realistic and with this i mean, its sound like a high pitch scream of a girl, it kinda sounds like that o_O

 

All the sounds have been redone to make them a little bit more realistic. Which I think really was neccessary. The old cries actually sounded like pixels (lol that's how I explain 8-bit music), and since gen VI now works with smoother, 3D Pokémon models, the Pokémon cries had to be adjusted to that.

Other than Pikachu getting his anime cry, which I really don't like and I don't see the reason for that, I think they did a really good job, and I like it.

 

I think their sounds are getting better but could be even more realistic with possibilities nowadays. Some of them are way too high pitched, I would like if they were more natural like barks and meows but of course altered to be still Pokémon-like. And I also really hate how they gave Pikachu anime voice.
The first reason is that I really hate how in anime dubbing Pokémon say their names but it's also because they gave better quality voice only to Pikachu making it special what I hate (and I like Pikachu, tho it irritates me at such times)

 

They've definitely updated the cries to not sound like chiptune vomit in Gen VI. The quality of them are much better now.

 

I really like regice's cry, just so cool!
