"Yeah, right," Blacky gave everyone there a rather bemused nod. "I just hope my water-breathing spell still works..." Plus, how's Angus doing? I hope he's fine...
Atelier paled a little when he heard Xuehua crack her knuckles. Would she be alright on her own? At least she had Aine to help her. And speaking of heading out, he needed to stock up on another water-breathing device. Maybe he’ll buy one at Keelford.
@122 Generation (while you'd likely find them in Keelford, they are also available in coastal towns and cities
"Speaking of meeting up..." Blacky (somewhat) changed the topic. "...how if we just go back here at Steamington once we're done?" he suggested. Otherwise, it would be hard to track down where to go next, right?
@122 Generation "Two days should be more than enough time." Aine replied. "We will depart at first light tomorrow."
"Eh. Maybe we can do preps? Or just move out when y'all ready?" Blacky suggested. "I mean, the quicker the better, right?" (I think Wave forgot that it's still morning in the story...)
"Blacky's right. The faster the better. We still have a few remaining Kings to... take care of. Besides, we were able to fare well enough back then even without everything we have now in Steamington." Xuehua checked the nearby timepiece. "If we're missing anything, I'm sure we can pick them up on the way back."
@SAF @122 Generation @ChocoChicken (Good catch!) "For today, we can get what supplies we need." Aine explained. "Unlike before, we shouldn't encounter any monsters in the ruins of the lairs..."
Speaking of supplies, Blacky peered into his bag to look at his berry stock... only for him to cringe. "Now that you've said that, I think my berries got a bit cooked from yesterday's lava lake," he sheepishly mused. (Okay, now this is random. )
@SAF @122 Generation (Luckily, the festivities are done, and the shops are open if you need supplies and upgrades)
“At least the lava did do some work for you. It’s free natural energy,” Atelier said, with a small laugh at Blacky. He took out the Perfect Apple. “I don’t get how this thing survived being cooked though.” His thoughts went to thinking what to get at the shops. Atelier was pretty sure he had everything he needed, but he took a double take to inspect his inventory.
"...What are we even going to do with that? How was that even in the lair without drying out?" Xuehua stared it over.
Now that Atelier had brought up the mystery of this Perfect Apple, Blacky rose his head and stared at it too. "That, I dunno..." he muttered, accidentally (?) answering both Xuehua's and Atelier's questions. I mean, Atelier finding the Perfect Apple would've made sense if it were in the Earth Dragon King's forest-like lair. But finding one in the Fire Dragon King's lava lake? That's just... mind-boggling.
Atelier smiled sheepishly. Of all the things he recovered from the lava lake, it had to be this thing. "Maybe it has qualities that enabled it to survive all environments? It's too valuable to consider eating though, unless you're someone with a certain appetite for only Perfect Apples. Maybe this thing is tradeable. That might make it useful." (Re: Wigglytuff)
@122 Generation (Wigglytuff is in Piquedilly's adventurer's guild--he will trade Perfect Apples for rare items)
