"I guess somewhere around arm's length? Maybe between that and a forearm's length. And around the thickness of the average sword's hilt," Xuehua responded, gesturing with her arms about the general length and thickness she was looking for. "The shortsword of the staff world, if you will." Perhaps she'd have to add an extra few slots in her robe to hold them there like some people fit knives in their cloaks.
On the second thought, Blacky decided not to try replicating Meteor Assault. He felt that his current skillset should be enough. Instead, he went to the library to refresh his memories about the constellations even though it was so out-of-character for him. But to be fair though, Blacky felt that his successful first trip was done out of sheer luck.
@122 Generation "I have a few kettles that make about six to eight servings...is that okay?" the shopkeeper asked. @ChocoChicken One of the smithy's apprentices sketched a mockup of the staff, complete with places for the stones. "Something like this?"
@122 Generation "Cups start at 200 sen each for one, and 1000 sen for a set." the shopkeeper explained. "If you would like a custom design, I can get it special ordered."
"That looks great! Two of those, please." Once she'd gotten her arsenal up, it was over for those tyrants. Oh and once she'd figured out a few more spells at that, but details, details.
@ChocoChicken "Remember--they come with a lifetime guarantee." the smithy explained as he took the payment. "So no matter what adventures they get into, just bring'em by and we'll fix'em up."
"That definitely sounds like a massive help. Thank you so much for these!" Xuehua bowed her head as she made the final payment and handed both stones over, then headed towards the mage's guild. Hopefully their smaller library would have some information on other spells...
@ChocoChicken The mage's guild was not far from the market. "Good day, fellow mage." the Gardevoir archmage smiled. "How may we assist you?"
“I appreciate the offer, but I’m short on time,” Atelier replied. He took out the money and paid for the set. (Includes cups and kettle?) "Good day to you, too. I'd like to use the library for a few hours, if possible?" Xuehua requested. "Just need to study for a while."
@ChocoChicken "This way, please." a Kirlia mage smiled as she led Xuehua to the hall's massive library on the second floor. "Is there anything in particular you wish to study? I can notify the librarians you are coming...
"Fire and water spells, specifically. I'm hoping to figure out some more of these." Xuehua responded. "And that would be great, thanks!"
After his coffee set was over with, Atelier then went in search of snacks the team could enjoy over coffee and to rejuvenate should anyone be injured. He went to check out another stall.
@122 Generation Luckily, cream and sugar were easily acquired, and cheap--less than 100 crowns, all told Aine, meanwhile, worked on practicing a few tunes for the next leg of the journey.
It wasn't long that Atelier had picked up cream, milk, and sugar plus about 150 crowns' worth of snacks including seeds (plain seeds, heal seeds, and blast seeds, which could make you breathe fire for your friends) and fried berries. His bag felt heavier after that and he figured it was only a matter of time before the afternoon. @WavePearl @ChocoChicken @122 Generation As expected, Blacky really was not a book person. Clearly evidenced by the boredom that quickly came to him. That, coupled with the feeling that he had enough memory refreshment, spurred him to walk out of the library. Although... Blacky was not sure what to do while waiting for his friends to prepare themselves. (Aight y'all, ready to go?)
