"The shortsword of the staff world, if you will." Perhaps she'd have to add an extra few slots in her robe to hold them there like some people fit knives in their cloaks.

 

On the second thought, Blacky decided not to try replicating Meteor Assault. He felt that his current skillset should be enough. Instead, he went to the library to refresh his memories about the constellations even though it was so out-of-character for him. But to be fair though, Blacky felt that his successful first trip was done out of sheer luck.

 

"That would be appreciated. I could use some cups too," Atelier added.

 

"That looks great! Two of those, please." Once she'd gotten her arsenal up, it was over for those tyrants. Oh and once she'd figured out a few more spells at that, but details, details.

 

"That definitely sounds like a massive help. Thank you so much for these!" Xuehua bowed her head as she made the final payment and handed both stones over, then headed towards the mage's guild. Hopefully their smaller library would have some information on other spells...

 

“I appreciate the offer, but I’m short on time,” Atelier replied. He took out the money and paid for the set.

"Good day to you, too. I'd like to use the library for a few hours, if possible?" Xuehua requested. "Just need to study for a while."

 

"Fire and water spells, specifically. I'm hoping to figure out some more of these." Xuehua responded. "And that would be great, thanks!"

 

After his coffee set was over with, Atelier then went in search of snacks the team could enjoy over coffee and to rejuvenate should anyone be injured. He went to check out another stall.

 

(Does it matter? He’ll need to pick up milk and sugar on the way)

 

It wasn't long that Atelier had picked up cream, milk, and sugar plus about 150 crowns' worth of snacks including seeds (plain seeds, heal seeds, and blast seeds, which could make you breathe fire for your friends) and fried berries. His bag felt heavier after that and he figured it was only a matter of time before the afternoon.

As expected, Blacky really was not a book person. Clearly evidenced by the boredom that quickly came to him. That, coupled with the feeling that he had enough memory refreshment, spurred him to walk out of the library. Although... Blacky was not sure what to do while waiting for his friends to prepare themselves.
