Up there, on the "sky", there were red and green stars shining brightly. No particular constellations could be found -- those two stars were just there to begin with.
"The stars... You said they mark the Clefables that are telling the truth, right?" Xuehua noted, recalling both Blacky's statements and all the riddlebooks she'd read as a young Eevee. "So Blue's the only one lying here. But if they swap like some kind of puzzle that means the stars mark who's lying now, then Blue's the only one telling the truth, and yellow's the only room with anything significant... which is not puzzles. ...But what does 'having puzzles' mean anyway?"
"Yeah," Blacky nodded at Xuehua's first question. But then there's her second question after some analysis of the room. "'Having puzzles', eh? That's because the next room will be a different puzzle," he explained. That said, the Umbreon came closer to Yellow's path and announced, "There's only one way to find out," before running through it.
"I guess you're right!" Xuehua agreed before speeding after him at full force. This was probably going to be the other kind of puzzle he mentioned, right? Though the chance of their Mirror Shields being missing was unlikely, the stakes were too high not to worry.
Atelier shook his head and supposed there was no alternative. He motioned Aine to come along and see what lay beyond the Yellow Clef's room.
@122 Generation Aine followed along, her ribbons adding a little light to the lair. If this puzzle was confusing, Arceus knew what lay farther inside.
@WavePearl @122 Generation @ChocoChicken True to Blacky's words, the next room really had a totally different puzzle. Room 3 There were some Bronzor-shaped mirrors (though not even Blacky knew that there were some actual Bronzor posing as mirrors mixed in), a relatively huge Lunala statue, and a moonlight-like, er, light coming from the "sky" with a mirror right under it. All of them were basically arranged like this: Spoiler: Puzzle That, and the brick would block the light's pathway until it's broken. "Oh boy..." Blacky sighed. This really was arranged differently from his last, solo visit. (That, folks, is what I meant by this: I only had a rough plan when I wrote that tbh.)
@122 Generation "My guess is that we are to shine the light on something..." Aine noted. "That, or create a single continuous path of light somewhere."
"More like the second one, actually," Blacky gazed at the light from above. He then mentally figured out where the light should go, then went up to the brick in order to destroy it... only for a fake mirror (read: a Bronzor -- shown as a red line on the image in my previous post) to attack him with a Heavy Slam out of the blue. Unfortunately though, the Umbreon didn't react quick enough to avoid it.
@SAF Aine panicked when she saw her Umbreon companion go flying across the floor. Taking her instrument, she played a few frenetic chords in an attempt to heal Blacky's wounds...
"That's it. You're going down." Xuehua leapt into action, drawing her new mini-staff with a circle in the air. A small wave in the center finished it, and she fired a Water Pulse at Blacky's assailant.
Bronzor @ChocoChicken Thankfully for Xuehua, her Water Pulse managed to distract the Bronzor from Blacky. This angered the Bronze Pokémon that they had to launch an Extrasensory on the Glaceon. (For enemies who are not the Dragon King, I'll leave whether their attacks hit or miss up to the target's player(s). In this case, it's up to Choco as Xuehua's player.) Blacky @122 Generation @WavePearl "Oof..." Blacky shook his head as Xuehua's Water Pulse distracted the assailant from him. "I'm fine, guys. Just didn't have any Bronzor last time," he tried to assure his Eevee and Sylveon allies. And yes, the latter's healing spell (?) worked.
@SAF Aine played a few more chords, creating shining shields around her companions and herself. "There...Psychic attacks can't penetrate these."
Xuehua flinched hard from the hit - not the Pokémon effect, mind you. After a moment of gritting her teeth and readying her stance, she fired the Water Pulse again with a scowl.
(Before I continue, what do you mean by "not the Pokémon effect"? I don't wanna risk any misunderstandings here.)
@ChocoChicken @WavePearl @122 Generation (So I've asked Choco about it in Discord and this is what we got: Spoiler: What Choco said Yeah, almost forgot that LV Discord is a thing.) Judging from Xuehua's reaction to the Bronzor's Extrasensory, seems like Aine's spell couldn't reach her in time. The Glaceon's furious Water Pulse ended up knocking the hostile Bronzor out cold. Blacky, meanwhile, got up and started to work on the mirrors starting from the one right under the light. This is what he got so far:
"And that's that." Xuehua placed the staff back in its slot. "Hey, how's the puzzle looking? Do they rotate freely, or in intervals?"
"These things rotate in a right angle," the Umbreon informed. "And maybe our mirror shields can help."
