@ChocoChicken @122 Generation @SAF (in honor of Pokémon's birthday, Aine will be performing memorable episodes from the show, re-imagined to how this world would see them.)
@ChocoChicken @122 Generation @SAF "...So I hereby declare, to the Pokémon of the world, I will be the greatest hero of all!" Aine concluded a song over a triumphant mandolin strum. "Thank you..." she smiled as many in her audience flipped her coins as thanks. "Sing about how Ash met Brock, the Jeweled Minstrel of Pewter City!" a Squirtle requested.
Back at the inn, Blacky limply walked in (due to his fatigue) to find Aine being surrounded by yet another round of crowds. He couldn't help but to see what Aine was performing this time (and if she had some time for his report)...
Xuehua entered behind Blacky. Upon hearing Aine's tale, she took a seat nearby to listen, although she supposed Blacky's report had to get through - although it could probably wait a bit. They did have some time before the invasion.
@ChocoChicken @122 Generation @SAF (Aine does take requests--so if you're curious as to what a particular episode would look like (up to Kalos, since in my imagined timeline Alola and Galar follow their game plots), let me know.)
Atelier had walked in to take a seat at the inn too. He waited on what Aine had to share over a snack, though he had his battle strategies book open in front of him.
@ChocoChicken @122 Generation @SAF (hitting the song's highlights) With another joyous strum, Aine and her mandolin were off into another episode of Ash's journeys. From Brock rescuing Ash and Misty from a Spearow flock, then showing off his own musical abilities, there was not an awed look in the inn.
Atelier supposed it was nice to listen to music while he got his strategy planned. He had a sketch of the beachfront drawn out and was thinking of where to place his allies.
While the show went on, Blacky used this time to declutter his mind of everything that had happened during the day. That package in my room, those nightly shadows in town, all the loots I got down there, Angus...
@SAF Applause signals that Aine's finished the song. "Is everything okay?" Aine wonders. She's noticed the look on Blacky's face.
"Oh!" Aine's concern snapped Blacky back to reality. "I just... got a lot to report on," he went on with a serious tone. (Welp, apologies. I was dumb by pressing "Post Reply" before finishing this one. )
"Do tell when you can. I'm ready to hear the full story," Xuehua responded, nose buried in "definitely a spellbook with absolutely no novels hidden inside" - but ears more than alert for when Blacky would speak up again.
"Okay," Blacky nodded at Xuehua. "First off... a moment, please," he excused himself before going to his room to get the package from before. He had purposefully left it there for safekeeping, after all.
@ChocoChicken @122 Generation @SAF After putting away her instrument, Aine joins you guys in the common room. Just what did the mage's guild decide to send?
A moment later, Blacky came back with a box of package in his paws. "First off, this," he put the package on the table. "I got all these from a mage's guild. Maybe you guys wanna have a look?"
"True..." Blacky nodded in agreement. "But still... why me?" he mulled over the fact that the archmage had sent it to a warrior like him. "I mean, of all people the archmage could've sent this to, it could've been any of you guys, right?"
