@SAF @122 Generation @ChocoChicken The flash of Angus' discharge spurred Aine into action. Leishu shun ji, lei si... While the brew gave some protection, Aine's song boosted everyone's defenses even more. They would need all the protection they could get for the fight.
Like Xuehua, Atelier was a little apprehensive at the Gengar who he had never even met. The remaining bit of the Fortuitous Brew was simply taken just like that. But if it was heading to Blacky’s hands, Atelier saw no reason to complain either. Besides, wasn’t he just told that the Dragon King had emerged? “He’s here already?” he muttered. He drank the rest of his brew. Then he followed Xuehua out to the beachfront. He took out a tome and a Gravelerock, as he hadn’t forgotten the strategy. What he did hope was that things would go as planned. He saw electricity crackle in the air as he got closer to the beachfront. What was that about?
(Again, life got ahead of me. Took me quite some time to recover from writing block. Apologies. ) "Thanks, mate," Garma thanked the Glaceon before vanishing again with the brew. Little did the group know that he would somehow end up lurking in the Dragon King's shadow and casting Slow (as in the slowing down spell) from there. Meanwhile, by the time Blacky arrived at the scene, the electricity from Angus' Discharge had already dissipated. He took this chance to enchant (?) his diving sword with the Arbo Edge and swung both it and the Sword of Light Auras. A bit sloppy for dual wielding, yeah, but he digressed. (Reminder: Arbo Edge is Earth elemental sword enchantment and Strike Edge Atmos Blade is its Electric variant.)
@122 Generation @ChocoChicken @SAF Aine saw that everyone was in place for the fight. She too was ready--ready for her magical song to bring judgement on the serpentine dragon that lurked in the water.
(Are we waiting for everyone to attack or just do the damage count as soon as an attack was made? Or perhaps... who's controlling the Dragon King again?)
Here he was. Without missing a beat, Xuehua immediately picked up her Gravelerocks and began flinging them at the Dragon with relative difficulty but still as fast as she could possibly do so.
@SAF (He is technically an NPC, so if you want to write in his responses to your attacks, go for it.)
(To be fair though, I'm kinda hoping for you to handle the Dragon King's part and focus on that, hence me taking over Angus' and Garma's parts. This RP won't be fun if I control the big boss too~)
(I agree. You're better off controlling the boss, Wave. Make him counterattack too, to spice things a little) Elsewhere, Atelier had scurried around to activate the Spectral Shield he had placed around Keelford to keep the Dragon King contained. Like Xuehua, he also had a Gravelerock in his hand. In his other hand, he held his sword. He could see Blacky and the Lanturn engage the enemy, so it was best to support them from a distance. He then also threw the Gravelerock with as much force as he could, hoping they would hit its target and keep the Dragon King back. If things went according to plan as he had dreamed it, the Dragon King wouldn't advance much further. (Aye~ And now, let's recap: Aine: The "Leishu shun ji, lei si..." song (boosts everyone's defenses, right?) Xuehua: a Gravelerock throw Atelier: a Gravelerock throw Angus: Discharge Garma: Slow (makes the Dragon King feel a bit sluggish if connects) Blacky: dual-wielding the Sword of Light Auras and the Arbo Edge (double strikes: one Sol, one Earth) What will the Dragon King do?)
@SAF @122 Generation @ChocoChicken The huge serpentine dragon was none too pleased at all the attacks, much less being blocked by a wall. In desperation, he tried to heave a huge wave...but the Spectral Shield held against the huge spray of water, mitigating the damage somewhat.
Atelier, however, was caught in the huge wave launched by the dragon, considering he was standing outside of the Spectral Shield. He nearly lost his hold on the Gravelerock and his cloak and bag were soaked wet. But thanks to the waterproofing spell from earlier, his books survived. He was honestly surprised by how edgy the Dragon King was getting, considering the battle just started. So Atelier threw another Gravelerock. Xuehua wasn't too pleased about the wave either. Snarling, she grabbed another Gravelerock and flung it. How did adventureres even use these awkward things? But she would have to conserve her magic for now...
If Atelier, who happened to be just outside the barrier, was caught in the huge wave, Blacky and Angus had it worse for being at the frontlines. They both were swept up to the shore, a bit far from where Atelier was. And soon after, Garma popped out from Blacky's shadow, for he had already taken the chance during the swords' clashes. "You guys okay?" he asked only to be replied with Angus' "Oof..." and Blacky's "Boy, that was nuts!" Hearing Blacky's musing, however, led Angus to give a rather dejected "I know, right?" to the Umbreon. "Anyway, I got your thing," Garma gave the Fortuitous Brew to Blacky, much to the Lanturn's curiosity. "What's that?" Angus asked, to which Blacky explained that it's basically a morale-booster drink. That said, the brew was shared between the three so that everyone got the much-needed boost. As soon as they finished the drink, Garma immediately casted Hastega to Blacky, Angus, and himself before they threw themselves back to the battlefield. This time Garma gave Blacky a lift and Angus swam his way there by himself. Hoping to paralyze the Dragon King, Angus shot a Thunder Wave from his antenna while Blacky switched to ranged attack by shooting an arrow with the Archangel's Bow from where he and Garma were floating at.
@SAF @122 Generation @ChocoChicken Seios, higarima laisido... Aine's song electrified Blacky's shot, making a massive explosion that rendered the huge serpentine dragon helpless! "Everyone! Here's our chance!" she called. She next whispered a healing incantation to help those that had been caught up in the wave.
Even Blacky himself was surprised at the sudden electricity on his arrow. To be fair though, he didn't even know that it was Aine's doing. "Everyone! Here's our chance!" the frontliner trio barely heard Aine's shout. "Barely" because they had already gone a bit far from the beach, thus her healing spell only could reach Atelier (and technically Xuehua too, but she's still A-OK). True to her words, the Dragon King looked like he was struggling to even move. Angus took this chance to launch another round of Discharge at the serpentine dragon without missing a beat. And then Garma's Giga Drain reminded Blacky that he still had a similar stuff up his sleeves. The blue-rings Umbreon took the frontliners' healing upon himself by summoning Shaymin via one of his Runes of the Flower. Even if this one were to be used up in one go, he still had 9 more of them for later anyway. (Did I spell the rune's name right?)
