@SAF @ChocoChicken @122 Generation You can use any possible move your Pokémon can learn, regardless of when or how they learn it. This includes TMs and TRs, breeding, move tutors, and so on.
I checked for any Water moves that Glaceon can learn, and it appears that in Gen 4, Water Pulse is actually learnable. Would it make more sense for Xuehua to learn that first, or still learn an easier move first (like Rain Dance, which is also the only other Water move Glaceon can learn?)
@ChocoChicken Rain Dance makes more sense to me, but if you'd really like her to have Water Pulse, I won't stop you from having her learn that.
Then starting with Rain Dance would probably be good. She'll learn that before being able to get Water Pulse if she does.
Meanwhile, me: randomly thinking to give Blacky a rather angsty (?) episode when the group starts dealing with the Dragon King that rules either Kickenham or Ardamore (as in Wyndon's counterpart)...
Might as well spoiler this due to the (possible) trigger warning... Spoiler Here's what I'm thinking: Blacky will get to meet his master in a tavern or something (or if it's at Kickenham, either in or near the master's house will do). He would tag along for the group's upcoming campaign there only for him to meet his demise while battling the DK, thus flipping Blacky's rage switch. It's prolly gonna take a long time to reach that tho.
If I remember, Kickenham was the Sol Dragon King's outpost, right? But since that's Hammerlocke, is Wyndon a separate lair, or are they combined in this universe?
@SAF @ChocoChicken ::runs to dig up the info:: The lineup for the Dragon Kings: Earth (complete!) Water (complete!) Fire (working on this) Luna (cosmic; up next) Thunder (electric, replacing Fairy) Ice Shadow Sol (dragon The Wyndon counterpart is where your victory celebration happens
Random question: what do you guys think Ardamorian traditions look like? British? Irish? Scottish? Japanese? American? Or what?
Ardamore is based on Galar which is based on Britain/the UK, so I'd guess that. Although Atelier is from a foreign country so he might have different traditions.
So... are grilled (or otherwise cooked) berries as good as the raw ones when it comes to their effects? Or are there any changes?
Now that you've mentioned it... I'm not sure what to do with him and his berries tbh. Edit: On the second thought, this could be yet another one of Blacky's "I'm dumb" moment.
Random question again: does Solar Blade (as in Lurantis' former signature move) count as nature earth or sol?
@SAF @122 Generation @ChocoChicken The Swanna Song A secret spell that all minstrels know, it is typically used to beseech Arceus directly, unleashing a massive spell that does major damage at the cost of the singer's strength. Usually, it only makes the singer very tired for a while, but it is possible (but very rare to die from exhaustion thanks to its effects. This is why minstrels are told to only sing it in a dire emergency. It is possible to minimize or prevent the strength drain with certain spells and protective items. The lyrics: Gatrandis favel, secret, edena... (I open my heart to reveal a secret power...) Emusto ronzen fine el balaziis... (which I promise to use to end evil's rule....) Katoradis favel siicletu edena... (The song in my heart becomes this power...) Emusto koron zen fine, si... (Will I fight even to the end? Yes) (the song's tune)
