Fanfiction Pokemon Fanfiction Recomendations

Sure I have a recommendation. It's a PMD fan-fic (not sure if you're into that, but if you are, than this one will keep you reading for a while).

The tittle of the fic is "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Broken Ideals". It was honestly one of my absolute favorites when I was younger. It took me a long time to finish, because the fic is exactly 930,703 words long, with 101 chapters. Heads up though, it might be a bite tame at first, but story gets dark, like... very dark (suicide and shit). If you're into PMD fics, this one is definitely one of my top recommendations.

Here's a written note by the author about the Fic: "As the story's description suggests, it can get really, really dark when it wants to be. I did my best to make tasteful, but if you can't handle things like suicide, abysmal despair, and demonic creatures, I'm not too sure you'd like my story. Just a fair warning since I've had people over the years wishing I had warned them about the contents."

I feel weird doing this, but I'm just going to self-promote my own Pokémon stories. A lot of people really seem to like them.
There's Getting to Know You on both fanfiction.net and ao3. It's a series of one-shots about Kukui's relationship with Ash in the Alola series. If you were one of those people that didn't appreciate the Sun/Moon episodes, this may not be your cup of tea, but if you like the slice of life stuff you might like it.

Then there's the series A Different Way, again, on both fanfiction.net and ao3. It started as a story exploring how Ash's journey would have gone if he'd travelled with different gym leaders besides Brock and Misty. It uses elements from the show, the games, and the Pokémon Adventures manga.

A story of a riolu who has to abandon his town due to it being attacked. This is a story that has aged certainly well and I will give to anyone who wants to start reading Pokémon fanfics and need a good place to start

This story while excellently written is absolutely brutal and not for the faint of heart. It starts with the main characters past and how he became alone and quickly takes it up a notch. It will not let up and it's influences are certainly admirable and I have written things in similar structure to this either solo or as a collaborative effort. Do give this a read but you have been warned.

This is the single oldest FFN story I have read it is over 21 years old but it has very much aged like fine wine. It is a 1 shot of what charizard truly feels about Ash in the anime and why he did everything he did. Despite it's age it is certainly worth the read.
