Anyway, I made my announcement in Discord like, 5 hours ago (at the time I wrote this) but forgot you're not there. Apologies. Spoiler: Announcement (?)
In that case, I'm thinking that Pepe would've seen something like this in Cortondo Sevaro and/or Cascarrafa Garrafosa before meeting the girls. How would it work there?
@SAF In Sevaro, they throw mint leaves and flowers (and sometimes olives) In Garrafosa, they throw sapphire, pearls, and coins
The question goes both in-character and out actually. For the OOC answer, feel free to put a dot on the South Province map here.
Yeah, yeah, I know. I've been assuming that the map scales differently between the games and this RP anyway. Plus, you still haven't answered my question, so lemme word it this way: Is Brioso closer to Cucharico or Pratolido?
@SAF The Tales of Sir Valiente "The Tales of Sir Valiente" is a well known collection of hero tales and folktales that any Paldean minstrel would know. Featuring the titular knight (it is said he was from Brioso, but several other places claim to be his hometown), the tales follow his adventures battling dragons and monsters, as well as rogues and corrupt nobility to justice. So far, minstrels and scholars have documented well over 1200 distinct tales featuring him (and millions more versions of these), creating a sort of "Sir Valiente" canon. Juliana knows a few Sir Valiente stories--sometimes she will perform them as epic songs, and sometimes she will speak with guitar accompaniment.
@SAF Is 50 too much, or too little? I know I want to feature all the SV places, but also some more places based on real Spain...
I'd say too much considering what happened in Evo Quest: we went through 6 dragons in the span of 3 years worth of storytelling. 50 pearls might take more than that to finish depending on our irl stuff.
And now I'm wondering what Alolan folktales in this world revolve around... I mean, I'd love to say that Pepe's bound to know some, but I'm drawing a blank myself.
