I thought Mr.Mime was only male...

ALSO the difference in Blaziken kinda bugs me. I feel like a female would have longer hair than the male, instead it's the other way around.

It doesn't matter ether way to me.. but my friend likes to always start with a female starter no matter what its nature. I personally like the natures better then the genders on the Pokémon..

yeah, the male unfezant looks way more unique and creative than their female counterpart, lacks the design...

Well the gender of Pokémon matters when breeding, take this for example: If your Snivy (or any starter) is male, you have to beat the game to obtain a ditto in order for you to breed another Snivy. It's more convenient when you have a female Snivy cause the egg will result into the female Pokémon and you don't have to beat the game for you to do this... but that's just me.

Like most people here, I don't really care about a Pokémon's gender. it depends on the Pokémon's appearance. Usually I'd rather have a male Garchomp because its fin looks cooler that the female's. I also like male Hippowdon's coloration better than female Hippowdon's.

I think female Machamps are kinda ridiculous? I mean, Machamps don't even wear any clothes besides that belt and black speedo...

Some of the Pokémon I don't mind either gender because they either don't look different, or both of them look pretty neat.
But some are a bit questionable. >.> Like Female Wobbuffet is a bit funny looking. I can't get over the lipstick appearance it has lol!

Although for some reason I do like to find female Absols, despite them not looking any different. >.>

Male Gible. I don't want a girly Garchomp!

Buneary & Lopunny should only ever be female.

Yeah I think there should be some Pokémon that do have gender differences .-. Some of them just look off to be the opposite gender.
Then again there is the thought of having a female evolve one way and the male evolve the other... I wish they did that with gardevoir and gallade, like...females only evolve to gardevoir and males to gallade. But who knows xD

one thing that i've seen before and i really agre with is that Pokémon really blurs the lines of gender, though subtle, such as the inclusion of male gardevoir and female machamps and so on. though some of us prefer to have one gender or the other because it just doesn't seem right, we do have males that identify more as females and vice versa. my best friend is a guy and he doesn't consider himself a tranny but he is very gay and likes to dress up as a girl (drag queen) and so things like this are very true to real life. im glad that there are male lopunny and female mr. mime, though i don't often play them myself.

I always was happy to get a male Pokémon I dont now why. Maybe because I'm a girl?
For example all my eeveelutions are male and my eevee is female to be different xD

Since I do a lot of breeding, I prefer to have an even amount of male and female; one for egg moves, and one for the species I want it to be. I think the only Pokémon I really prefer to be female, are Glaceon and Leafeon. I don't know why...they just strike me as being very feminine.

Otherwise, it all depends. I've been making in-game versions of my characters, so I make a lot of chars based on my team, and vice versa. XD

I prefer feminine looking Pokémon to be female, as well as other gender-neutral Pokémon.

Agreed. And like the others said, I can't imagine seeing a female Machamp... aughh.

Excluding Pokémon that evolves due to its gender and wobuffet (always male since 4th gen), I don't mind the gender of my Pokémons

I really have no preferences in battle, apart from Pokémon like female Combee (the only way to get Vespiquen). For breeding, I tend to use males and a Ditto.
Male or Female or Genderless, I will still use that Pokémon (that is if its nature is good enough.)

For me, Lopunny must always be female. Whenever I'm playing a game where Buneary are present, I will not stop searching until I find and catch a female. Same for Swanna and Zebstrika. Those three are ones I specifically search for females to catch. Other than that, I generally catch males.

I always think of the legendary Pokémon as male, even the ones who don't talk. The only exception to my way of thinking is Virizion. Initially, I thought of Virizion as male until I saw Kyurem and the Swords of Justice. Cressalia and Latias are exempt on account they're the only legendaries that aren't genderless like the rest of them.

Gardevoir I wish was exclusively female the way Gallade is exclusively male. When I was playing Platinum, I specifically hunted down and caught a female Ralts so I could get a Gardevoir and have a good Psychic-type on my team.

I see Lapras as female. Always did even before that Christmas episode with the telepathic one. But it's no skin off my nose that the Lapras in S/G/SS/HG is usually male. I'll still use it.

The Hitmon line are always male so that was never a problem for me.

Gender differences don't really matter much with me but it always annoys me when the starters are mostly male. I mean, I always wanted a female starter, dammit! This never happened to me before... I always viewed Chikirita as a female. Maybe because of PMD.

I actually like to have a male Lopunny. I actively look for a male Buneary just for laughs. XD Ahahaha! Female Machoke and Machamp, though...
