I was totally unaware of the lipstick dealio. Now that I know I find that to be a neat quirk. I can totally see a wobbuffet putting on lipstick.

Most Pokémon don't wear clothes though... D:

I find female Machamp to be extremely creepy. That whole line... Just...

I like female Hippowdon a lot better than the males. I just like the color scheme better on the females. I like male Nidoran a lot better than female. I just like the teeth better on the male, and just overall the male is just nicer through and through. Nidoqueen looks like she's wearing a freaking bikini, and Nidoking looks like he has armor. Something about that just screams sexist... I don't know.

I prefer male Machamp over female Machamp.
Just imagine one going up to you and claiming that theyre female, but they barely wear any clothing. o_O

The problem I have with female Machamp is that Machamp (and the rest of its line) is so clearly based off of a muscular male body.

If a Pokémon is so obviously based on one gender, then I might be a little weirded out having it in the opposite gender. Like a male Gardevoir, or a female Machamp. Other than that, I tend to not really care, though somehow I tend to be more emotionally connected to female Pokémon. They feel more special to me somehow, I guess because I feel like a LOT of Pokémon tend to be male most of the time, like the starters or the eeveelutions. Or Togekiss.

Also I do prefer some gender differences over the other. Like others have mentioned, female Wobuffet is just ridiculous. And I don't like the way many female Pokémon have shorter horns, feathers, etc. I know it's that way in the real word, but it still bothers me, like how female Mamoswine look so much less epic.

But other than that... I tend to not care.

I don't have preferences in most cases, but there are times when it doesn't seem right to have one gender. Until they released Gallade, Gardevoir definitely didn't seem right as a male Pokémon. And the Pans and Simis don't seem right if they aren't a certain gender, especially Panpour and Simipour just don't seem like males even if the spawn rate is 70% male.

Isn't the Chansey line always female though, Cobalt?

I always want my Pokémon a specific gender.
I will always catch my Pidgey female, but my Spearow male.
Milotic, Gardevoir, Ninetales, Mawile... all female.
There is almost no Pokémon I would catch both genders.

YES I do! Certain Pokémon I feel just feel right being a certain gender, or either i feel more confident using them/more in tune. I like my skitties female, for example.

Well, new Pokémon, new gender preferences.

Sylveon I prefer female, it doesn't look male.
Pangoro, I can't see it female. Like, what? How?
Do I even need to talk about Delphox? How does that come out as male?
I don't see how Diggersby can be female. *cringe*

In Kalos I can only see one of the starters not being a specific gender, and that's Greninja. Delphox looks female, and Chesnaught looks male to me. I guess with Chesnaught I can kind of see how a female could exist, but it looks a lot more male to me. Sylveon, even though I want a male one, does look a lot more female. In fact, my wanting a male one is just kind of making fun of Eevee's gender ratio.

I don't get how Honedge has a gender at all... I mean, it would've been awesome if it would get a cool gender difference or something, but I don't really see how a haunted sword can have a gender..

I prefer male Pokémon on my teams and I pretty much only use female Pokémon for breeding. I do feel that some Pokémon should just be a single gender but then again, in order for most species to reproduce, there has to be a male and female combination. Either that or Ditto was around for an eternity.

I've been thinking the same thing. Honedge isn't alone on it though. How does Litwick have a gender? What about Gastly?

I'm not big on gender preferences, but I do prefer male Pikachus because of the tail, and male Rydon/Rhyhorns because of the horn.

Yeah, but at least, The Gengar line has a face, so that makes a bit more sense (not too much though). Same for Litwick, but when it evolves, it kind of loses the face...

On another note, I'm really a gender genius. In Pokémon X, seriously, everything I catch is female, everything I encounter... Except for Pokémon I want female. It took me twelve eggs to hatch a female Vulpix, which has a 75% female ratio. The chance that that happens is smaller, as the chance of encountering two shinies in a row... Yay
