Demo/Playable Pokemon: Heroes of the Rainbow

The idea for this game (which is being built via RPG Maker VX Ace) came to me after seeing the first teasers of movie 20--what if the story featured Brock and Misty, and had a more fantastic slant?

The basic story of the game:

Those who, guided by the Rainbow Wing, meet with Ho'oh, shall become the Heroes of the Rainbow...

This holy promise gives the parallel Pokémon world of Cielark hope in times of darkness. When evil threatens the land, a Grey Wing will fall before the heroes that will infuse it with the colors of the elements, awaken Ho'oh, and be forever known as Heroes of the Rainbow.

But for a trio of three adventurers for hire--Ash, a bow wielding mage, Misty, a water specialist magic knight, and Brock, a minstrel who sings magic in his song, a Grey Wing unexpectedly falls before them. Confused as to why a Grey Wing would fall in a time of peace, they decide to follow it, in hopes of getting to the bottom of why it fell.

What they discover is that a power-mad sorceress threatens to tear the world apart, and only Ho'oh's holy light can defeat her. But in order to prevent any would be heroes in infusing the Grey Wing and awakening Ho'oh, the sorceress sealed away the gems of the elements that color the Grey Wing in eight well guarded sanctums, filled with monsters, traps, puzzles, and treasures.

Along the way, our heroes will befriend elves, dwarves, fey, the Pidgeot-like Taka, and the Swanna-like Sirene, but most importantly, their friendship will become an unbreakable bond, and what it truly means to be a hero...

Planned features (so far):

--Journey across a fantastic Pokémon world, filled with lore and secrets!
--You won't just meet fantastic versions of the Pokémon cast--you'll meet friends and cameos from other franchises too!
--Brock has a fully planned out sidequest, where you have a choice in picking the stories he tells. Your choices will affect if the party gets rewards for a well told tale

--Better maps than just the default placeholders in VX Ace

I appreciate the thought, but I'll stick with VX Ace for now. I feel it adds to the Zelda/early Final Fantasy vibe I'm aiming for.
