Maria, like Seline, looked just as flustered at how Michelle caught on. "Um... Yes." Maria confirmed, looking at Leon. She still dwindled her fingers. "At the end of our adventure, I suggested that Seline and Azelia would come live with us at Lalusi. I was, uh, really hoping our parents and your parents could adopt her into our family. All of us, including Evergreen and Azelia, are practically like sisters, right?"

Leon made the connection with Michelle's words and Maria's. He smiled too. "You know, Maria, that we lived under the same roof for so long, and it's pretty cramped in there. Would Seline mind that? Otherwise, I'm sure she'll be welcome. Besides, I might..." He glanced at Michelle. "I might end up living in Myokara instead."

Those words caused Maria and Evergreen to widen their eyes. Wait... That means...? Now it was Evergreen who looked like she was about to cry, like Seline.

 

Leon looked back at her and smiled a little. "Don't forget that you're my wife, and you're precious to me. I don't want to leave you, so I'll go along with you."

Hearing that from Leon brought a wide smile to Maria's lips. So this is how Leon interacts with girls! Maria thought. But knowing that would mean Leon moving away, she felt tears welling up in her eyes. Evergreen felt exactly the same. "Don't worry, Leon," Maria said. "If you go away with her, I'll have Evergreen and Seline to keep me company."

 

(Haha, already? I'm thinking after Michelle visits Lalusi and meets Leon's family. That gives Seline time to finish up and settle too)

"Lalusi is about two days' journey from Myokara by ship - with one day spent going to Calagua." Leon replied, and he held Belle in his arms as he spoke to Maria and Seline. "Tell you what. I'll escort the both of you back home, but after that... That will be it. Don't worry, Maria. We'll see each other again."

Maria hugged Seline back, and looked back at Michelle with soft tears. "Seline's right... So you better come visit! And Michelle, you better keep an eye how many pies Leon eats."

Evergreen, who was crying very hard, held onto Azelia for comfort.

A day later, Leon, Michelle, Maria, and Seline, along with Belle, Ian, Evergreen, Azelia, and the rest of the Pokémon, arrived at Lalusi via an SBC trading ship. To Leon's amazement, the stockade was gone and that meant Lalusi was finally free. The party arrived at the humble home where Leon and Maria grew up, where Leon introduced his parents to his wife, Michelle. He also told his parents that he was going to live with Michelle in Myokara as well, but promised he and Michelle would visit as much as they could. Plus, the SBC would arrive pretty frequently to Myokara, which meant Leon and Michelle could send express mail too.

Maria and Evergreen introduced Seline and Azelia to Maria's parents and Leon's parents (i.e. Maria's aunt and uncle). She briefly told them about the adventure she had gone through, and how at the end, Maria suggested that Seline be adopted into the family. To Maria's surprise, her family was more than welcome to let Seline into their home. Since Leon was going away, they could spare Leon's bed for Seline. It helped that Leon and Maria shared the same room, which would make it easy for Seline to settle in.

Maria and Evergreen were more than eager to show Seline and Azelia around her home, and then the bulk of Lalusi itself. After exploring the port city for a few days, from the port and the SBC to the parks, Maria and Evergreen were glad to have Seline and Azelia to settle in, and were more than happy to support the two of them. Plus, it helped that the stockade around the city was finally demolished, so the outside world could interact with the prosperous port city once again.

Leon was relieved to see Michelle smiling again as they arrived back at Myokara, as he held her in his arms. It would take time to find a place to settle in, since they were married, but he knew that they could pull it off together. Belle merely stuck around Leon's feet and took in the sight of her new home too.

So, this is how our heroes ended up...

Maria, Seline, Evergreen, and Azelia settled for a quiet life in Lalusi, in the care of Maria's family. Even though Seline and Azelia were adopted, it seemed as though they could have easily been sisters to Maria and Evergreen. Besides, there were plenty of flowers for Azelia to enjoy, and Evergreen took delivery of her prized gold gummies at last. Moreover, no one could argue that they finally returned home.

Thanks to archives from the Sapphire Bay Company and accounts from the royal family in Illumis, many wrote about the exploits Leon, Michelle, and their Pokémon faced. They eventually settled down at Michelle's home of Myokara. Even though there was a lot to write about, from their adventures in Kalski and being on the run, to rescuing Michelle's Pokémon in Fayan, scholars, poets, and minstrels agreed on one thing: Leon and Michelle loved each other above anything else.
