"You didn't have to use it, you know. You should have kept it," Leon replied. "I have plenty of healing balms I can still use."

He offered one of his healing balms to Michelle as he attempted to mount one of the Mamoswine. As a ranger, he had a natural ability to connect with Pokémon already, so it was simple to get on it. Belle took the liberty of moving the badly burned bodes of the merchants away to a cooler area. For what it was worth, the merchants weren't going to get up for a while.

Before long, Leon, Michelle, Belle, and Ian were mounted on the back of the Mamoswine across the snow-covered landscape. The blizzard was blowing harshly on their faces and the terrain was rough. Belle was getting cold in particular.

 

The Mamoswine offered the two of them enough protection against the harsh winds, but it was still ridiculous as to what kind of journey this meant. Leon, still worried for Michelle's sake, still tried to get her attention but she seemed lost in her own world. He sighed and kept trudging on.

The pathway became a series of snow walls which offered some kind of protection from the snowstorm above their heads, but not by much. The cold was still blasting away at the group.

 

As the group kept walking on, a pile of snow above them collapsed and covered the pathway. Annoyed, Leon had the Mamoswine start clearing the road so that they could advance. But as things were going on, two Abomasnow showed up behind them!

"Well, that took short than I expected," Leon remarked. "Alright, let's see what we can do now... Oh, we should get some rest soon. Otherwise, we can't carry on."

The Mamoswine had broken through the snow wall at last, so they could move on.

 

The snow kept blowing around them, but the Mamoswine was offering enough protection for the group. Leon figured that at this rate, everyone was going to freeze up and some point and hoped that they could reach shelter soon. Hopefully, whoever was at Flusselles would be open to welcoming them. After all, it seemed only the right thing to do. Tired and exhausted from enduring, not to mention fighting, Leon hoped that they would be at the city soon. That is, if there wasn't any guild patrols or checkpoints on the way there.

It had taken a while, but it was worth it. The lights of Flusselles were in sight. The lamps illuminated much of the streets as the illustrious Sundial overlooked the cold river it oversaw. The port was under Flare Guild control, and just outside the city to the south, in the direction of the town of Mosaia, was where the fortress was located.

Unlike Romantia, the city was full of merchants and even Flare Guild militia. It seemed the word had spread that the Romantia fortress was overthrown and that the guild was preparing for a counterattack. At the moment though, that wasn't possible yet as they suspected Romantia had secured contact with Illumis. If that was the case, then it was pointless to attack Romantia if not risking retaliation from the kingdom.
