1x1 Pokemon: Jewels of the Aether - On the Run (Tala x 1:22)

After Leon had taken his shower, he returned to find Belle sleeping on the bed. He sighed and went to look out the window. To be safe, though, he kept an eye on any guild merchants that might be lurking nearby. It was then he remembered that he and Michelle could have just slept over at the SBC outpost. Mentally slapping himself, he took a seat and kept looking outside.

 

By the next morning, the Flare Guild had brought a contingent of guild soldiers into the city of Tempera. However, both the guardian Ramos and the SBC were opposed to this movement, and organised a protest in the town square.

The commotion failed to wake up Leon, and only Belle saw what was happening as she basked in the sunlight.

 

Outside, in the town square, Guardian Ramos was making a public announcement to denounce the Flare Guild and its military presence. The people of Tempera were rallying behind him and it seemed there wasn't much more the guild soldiers could do. Still, more soldiers began pouring into the city and tried to walk into the SBC outpost, but the ranger-in-chief was preventing them from going in.

"Wow... That's something to look at," Belle frowned. She also frowned that Leon was still sleeping.

 

Unbelievably, Leon didn't hear the slamming, but Belle certainly did. The Bellossom frowned at both Leon and Michelle, but proceeded to go wake Leon up. She jumped off the window and then onto the bed to push Leon's head.

"Ugh... Five more minutes, Belle..." Leon muttered.

"You're not going to wake up? But Michelle is already on the move..." she squeaked, and then she tried pushing Leon off the bed.

"Alright alright, fine..." Leon muttered, and he finally got up.

 

Leon walked out of the inn half-asleep as Michelle was fighting away at the guild soldiers. The soldiers, who were taken by surprise, found their ground and began attacking civilians and were setting about torching the city. However, Leon, who became aware of the situation, sighed and went to join Michelle.

"We can't stay here, or else the city will burn," he said to her. "Let's try to lure them out of the city, since we know they're after us."

 

Now that Michelle had distracted the guild soldiers, Leon took his escape route and followed Michelle out of the city. The guild soldiers took notice and about four of them went to pursue Michelle and Leon. It seemed the distraction had worked, but now Michelle and Leon had to worry about their pursuers.

The route they were on was the road towards the Flare Guild's third fortress at Yantara. It was a day's journey from Tempera, but being on the run, Leon wished they could move faster. With plenty of grass and seaside, it was relatively peaceful. Still...

"Let's hope we can shake them off. I hope we don't have to fight," Leon said.

 

Michelle and Leon continued running past the grassland until they arrived at a beachhead. There was a river that separated the road and it seemed there was no way to get across, other than swim.

"The guild must have a boat stashed somewhere..." Leon said. "Maybe they took it back to the other side."

"I'm really hoping they didn't take it back to the shore, or else we'll have to swim across," he said. "Ugh... but that would mean getting bag wet." He removed his cloak and folded it into his bag, but kept his company dress shirt on.

"There they are! Get them!" two soldiers from the Flare Guild had caught up to Michelle and Leon.

Leon drew out his bow. "Seems we may have to swim after all..."
