"NO! Belle!" Leon panicked, and he quickly drew out his Heart charm to recall her.

Leon thought about using his Sniper's Vantage ability, but decided to wait it out as he fired another arrow. Though Belle had fallen, he kept his cool.

"There. That ought to take care of the guards around the bunker," Leon said. He tossed to Michelle some of his healing balms. "Now with their armoury defences down, we just need to collapse it. Um... Michelle? You okay?"

Leon looked at his Heart charm. "Darn it. If only I stood up for Belle sooner... Never mind. At least we've managed to clear out the armoury without anyone noticing too much." He stood up. "Keep recovering, and give some of the balm to Hao too. When you're done, please hide the bodies."

After that, Leon went about trying to find a way to collapse the bunker's roof. Make a barricade, maybe? But that would take too long. No, something to collapse the bunker would be more useful. So what Leon did was slip into the bunker and see if there was something he could use.

The night still dragged on, and a few Flare Guild soldiers continued patrolling the fortress walls. However, unknown to Leon and Michelle, the other soldiers in the camps were put on high alert after what had happened. They were patrolling the area, but had yet to arrive at the fortress for now.

 

Inside the bunker, Leon didn't know what he could do to collapse the bunker. It was mostly made of stone, so it wouldn't burn. No, he would need something to collapse the roof on top of it. Then again, like the many times he had done before, it was easier just to burn the equipment instead. Since there were so many things in here, that was enough to give enough fuel. Wait. Fuel! That was it. Quickly, he took whatever weapons he found and threw them into a pile near the door. After putting all the arrows he could manage into his quiver, he lined up the doorway with tar and set fire to them with a flaming arrow.

He came out of the bunker and met up with Michelle. "Their weapons will burn out soon, and the tar might burn long enough to cause the roof to go down, so I think we've got a good grip so far."

The patrols wouldn't notice the smell of burning tar yet, nor would they notice the burning of the armoury. However, with the soldiers in the camps on high alert, things were tense. Now, the next step was to head to the front wall...

 

"You sure?" Leon said. "I don't want you to go at it alone. I just need to fire a flaming arrow from there for Cordelia."

Still, they managed to somehow sneak around the stairs so they were on top of the front wall.

As they emerged, they could see the camps alight and the movement of Flare Guild soldiers about the ground, with moving torches held high. Leon knew, somewhere nearby, that Cordelia had to make her move soon.

 

"I just want to be sure that -" Leon started, but was cut off when he saw an arrow shoot towards him. He ducked down. "Seems like shooting that flaming arrow will take a while." He saw two soldiers shooting arrows from the ground below and shot back, while injuring both soldiers.

"Raise the alarm!" one soldier said.

At that moment, a soldier rushed onto the front wall with a spear.

"That one is all yours, Michelle!" Leon said. "I'll hold off the archers on the ground!"
