That's better! Now you are Accepted! Here's some points of interest in Chiron that are counterparts in Kanto: Mayul (Pallet Town)--Ash and Serena were born here, and Ash and his family have lived here for a long time. Serena and her family lived nearby, until Serena's father was called to the region of Kalski (Kalos). They have recently returned to Mayul. Sage Oak also has a library here, where he and his apprentice Tracey study all aspects of the world. Vertania (Viridian City)--A major crossroads of the area, many young Pokémon tamers (what trainers are called in this fantastic Pokeworld) pass through here every day--some on their way to Argenta (Pewter City), and others on their way to the Aiiro City (Indigo Plateau) and the Pokémon League. You will start here. The Tower of Life stands here, as the final challenge for tamers who have earned the other seven Emblems of the area. Those that succeed earn the Emblem of Life. Argenta (Pewter City)--Called the "jewel of the north mountains", Argenta is famous for its mining industry, the Grand Library, and the Tower of Strength--a tamer's first challenge on the road to the League. Originally, Brock was supposed to succeed his father Flint as Emblem Keeper, but his awakening as a summoner changed all that. He divides his time between his family and adventuring, but sends gifts and letters to them as often as he can. Azuria (Cerulean City)--Most famous for being the headquarters of the Blue Dragon order of magic knights, Azuria also boasts the Tower of Creativity. Misty was born and raised here, and is often found patrolling the city. Misty proved an eager recruit, and easily earned her spellblade Swiftwing defending Azuria from a Gyarados attack, much to Captain Umi's surprise. It was not long before she was made a full Blue Dragon, and her name became known far and wide as a brave adventurer. Arania (Vermillion City)--One of the region's busiest ports, as well as boasting the headquarters of the Red Lion order of magic knights and the Thunder Arena, where tournaments of all types are held daily, and where tamers battle to earn the Emblem of Honor. Lavandia--a holy city, where many summoners come to climb the Tower of Reverence in hopes of making their first contract with a Legendary (usually one of the three birds, but every so often, a summoner will meet Ho'oh or Lugia.) Brock met Articuno when he made the climb, and was made a high summoner. Seladam--a glittering city considered the area's entertainment center, and also boasts the headquarters of the Green Falcon order of magic knights and the Tower of Promise. Parmania--the area's southern port, as well as an area that maintains the area's ancient traditions. Tamers can tour Emblem Keeper Koga's hunting grounds and try to catch a rare Pokémon, or battle either Koga or his daughter Janine for the Emblem of Hope Azafran--the hub of the region, with plenty to do--get one's fortune told by the oracle Sabrina, battle her for the Emblem of Clarity, or partake in its massive entertainment district Canela Island--a large island off the coast, many people come here on vacation, or to challenge Emblem Keeper Blaine for the Emblem of Inspiration The Aiiro City--the capital city that unites the seven main regions and some smaller ones together. King Lance rules here with his attendants.
I see that some names have changed, along with the region itself! Ha! Well, Wave, is my profile acceptable? Plus, does Larousse have a different name here?
Yes, your profile is Accepted! LaRousse is known as Lalusi in Chiron, although for simplicity's sake, I plan for the story to take place in Kanto, but if you want to visit the other regions, I'll draw up some counterparts for them.
@[member="WavePearl"] I've forgotten to ask, is it alright for Seline to have a Cutiefly..? I thought up the Pokémon last minute and forgot to ask. :x
@Shadria Yes, it's fine--any Pokémon is okay within reason (only a select few have access to Legendaries, so unless you can come up with a good reason for your character to have one, Legendaries are not allowed)
Well in that case, Soren has a Braviary as well. Didn't know if they were actually allowed to have Pokémon.
You are allowed to have Pokémon within reason--so no Legendaries unless you are a summoner, a wizard, or have a good reason to have one otherwise)
Maria has a Kirlia with her, for her part, and I'll post the profile here. Hey, Wave, we're still using Heart Charms, right? Plus, could Maria use a shield in addition to a sword? Name: Evergreen Species: Kirlia Known moves: Disarming Voice, Calm Mind, Magical Leaf, Heal Pulse History: Maria's companion ever since she was a Ralts. Growing up, Evergreen served as Maria's perfect playmate in the absence of Leon or Maria's other friends, and later on Evergreen began to train in the combat arts as well. Nowadays, in addition to still being a playful friend to Maria, Evergreen follows Maria wherever she goes, and in some sense is Maria's caretaker - even though she probably is as old as Maria! Personality: Evergreen is the type where being dutiful and protective of others is a priority. However, Evergreen is also very timid by nature and is easily frightened (unlike Leon's Bellossom, Belle, who is more bold). While there are a great many things Evergreen can be frightened of, her sense of duty can easily overcome her fears if the time is right, and she would be willing to face giants if she has to! On the other hand, as Maria's self-appointed caretaker, Evergreen would do what she can to make sure Maria stays comfortable - such as cooking dinner. If Maria is feeling tired, Evergreen would be the first to drag her to bed. That is strange, since Evergreen is as young as Maria is... In my fanfic here, I have a picture of Maria as the cover page. I strongly encourage anyone to take a look at it to see what Maria's hair looks like. Got any clue as to how to describe it?
How to Get to Know Someone in Chiron If you don't know someone's name, you can say "Good sir" or Good lady" until you know their name. If you don't know a non-human's name, it's better to address them as Sir or Lady and their species. (ie. Sir Dwarf, Lady Elf, etc.) If you know a superior well, it is acceptable to say "Sir" or "Lady" and their name. (eg. Sir Brock, Lady Serena) If you don't like a superior, the easiest way to insult them is address them as an inferior (a simple "Good sir" or "Good lady") Minstrels, summoners, magic users, and clergy are considered superiors.
Name: Cyclone Species: Braviary Moves: Sky Drop, Crush Claw, Brave Bird, Superpower History: Soren found Cyclone as an egg abandoned in the forest, on the ground and nowhere near a nest. So, he took it home and took care of it, and a week later it hatched into a Rufflet. Cyclone became Soren's closest companion. They played together, traveled together, and even fished together. Cyclone evolved into a mighty Braviary just before Soren left home, and has been his main form of long-distance transportation. But technically, due to how the met, Cyclone did not have a Heart Charm until recently, and was still considered wild and able to caught. Because of this, the two have had problems with poachers eager to capture the rare bird Pokémon for prophet. After going through this three different times, the two agreed to get Cyclone a Heart Charm, and the next time they were in a town, Soren bought one for his friend and officially made Cyclone his own. Personality: Cyclone, like all Braviary, is very loyal to his friends and family, a trait shared by his owner. He is also very strong, able to carry things weighing several tons and still be able to fly, but mainly just carries Soren as a passenger and occasionally some cargo. He is also likes to show off sometimes; flying around and high speeds or tearing branches off of trees.
@[member="Weavile Sly"] Heart Charms are the equivalent of Poké Balls in this world (I took part in the this roleplay's predecessor, also made by Wave, so that's how I'd know). While you can keep Pokémon in them, they also work as summoning tools if you want to call your own Pokémon from abroad. That being said, actual Poké Balls don't exist in this world.
Yes, Heart Charms are a leftover from the previous version that I couldn't resist reusing for the new version.
Ah, lets get Azelia properly filled out Name: Azelia Species: Cutiefly Moves: Stun Spore, Bug Buzz, Dazzling Gleam, Draining Kiss History: Azelia is, by all means a 'wild' Pokémon, she was found by Seline, stuck in a Ariados's web. Grateful for her help, Azelia stayed by, slowly developing a bond with Seline as they managed to survive together. Although their bond is still new and steadily growing, there seems to be no noticeable end to it. Personality: Azelia is a cutiefly of timid nature. She's easily frightened, however if she senses that Seline is ok, she can calm down much easier. Still wild, Azelia tends to fly off on her own and do as she pleases but returns when called. She really tries to go with her cute-ness factor when in trouble, although can fight back if needed. (Seline lacks the money needed to obtain a 'Heart Charm', so her partner is a free roaming wild..until/if she ever obtains one for her)
(You don't technically need a Heart Charm--just like the real Pokeworld, some Pokémon here don't like being confined either)
