1x1 Pokemon: Journey of the Brilliant Stars (IC thread--WavexSAF)

"Welp, thanks for the warning," Kenji said, still not sure what to make of Mint's warning. I mean, even without wading into their HQ, he probably would cross paths with Team Labyrinth anyway, right?

"Anyway," the redhead changed the topic. "Does the tournament here have categories?"

 

"Well..." Kenji smiled, knowing that Mint's second warning failed to deter him from the upcoming adventure. "More practice for me, then."

That said, he started to fill out the online form.

 

"This is more of a adventure than what I was expecting!" Victoria grinned, a bit nervous deep inside. She worked on filling out the form. "A tournament AND some criminal organization??"

 

"Aye~" Kenji practically agreed with Victoria on that one. "I bet they're on the move by now."

(Echoing Kenji's first dialogue in this post, aye~)

 

"Okay."

That said, Kenji finished both his breakfast and sign-up process, then followed Mint to the conference room.

 

Vicky summited her form, turning her phone off. "Alright.." She followed, Pawnsly staying close. "Looks like if things get too rough, we have a trained guard.."

 

Victoria took a seat, Pawnsly sitting in a chair next to her. She sat her bag and deck holster down on the table, ready to take in whatever was going to be spilled.

 

As with Vicky, Kenji took a seat too. But unlike Pawnsly, the now awake Ginchiyo was still in her Pokéball, ready to listen to whatever the humans would talk about from there.

"So... where should we start from?" Kenji asked Mint as soon as everyone's ready.

 

Eighteen major clubs. As far as Kenji knew, there are 18 types of Pokémon in the world they were in. Were those clubs based on that or what?

The redhead kept listening anyway.

 

Vicky came to the same conclusion on typing, listening. "..So we're really going to infiltrate? ..And what if they don't join us?" She hated being a pessimist, but Pawnsly nodded in agreement over the valid questions.

 

"About these clubs..." Kenji mulled over his own wild guess. "What are they based on?"

 

So Kenji's wild guess was right, after all. These Club Masters somewhat sounded like the gym leaders he had fought back in Hoenn and Sinnoh. But with Vicky and himself doing this whole trip around Solitaire Island, another question popped in his mind. "Can we battle the Club Masters as a pair or do we have to do it one at a time?"

 

Vicky pondered on that. "As far as I know, double battles regarding decks isn't exactly possible. But us going together might be ok....?" She wasn't exactly sure but didn't want to cause problems with the rules.
