Lunti and Bagsik were laughing in a nearby bush, seeing the commotion in the campsite. "Buti na lang na wala tayo dun, (Good thing we were'nt there," Lunti chuckled. "Talaga, (Truly,)" Bagsik replied.
@ChocoChicken @Fchicken77 @ShireHime @Jupjami @122 Generation @Tala Brock's heart was racing--was there anything he could do to console Farrah and Aurora. Seeing Midori's case gave him an idea--why not play the Pidgey's spirit to heaven, just like the ceremonial meals he had enjoyed on festival days. After opening the case and assembling the large flute inside, he whispered a common prayer for such an occasion before starting a quiet melody that evoked thankfulness and a tinge of regret. (what Brock plays)
Mel looked at the display. "I brought the berries with me. We found them" she happily as pachi rab behind her. And showed then her bag. "I found all colors" she gave a huge smile
Maria smiled equally. Mel did have a personality that reminded her of herself. "All the colours, eh? You must have found lots of berries!" She let the music settle in, which oddly seemed to make the fire more welcoming.
"Heol!" Kiseki blurted out in surprise, covering her mouth afterward. "I mean, I am wholly thankful for these berries." She awkwardly smiled at Mel but she was seriously thankful for the food. The Pidgey just shocked the life out of her and she couldn't help herself. (Heol is pronounced like Hull and it's like a slang to express one's shock.)
@ChocoChicken @Fchicken77 @ShireHime @Jupjami @122 Generation @Tala (have Brock spin a few yarns around the campfire or move on?)
@ChocoChicken @Fchicken77 @ShireHime @Jupjami @122 Generation @Tala (I'll wait on everyone's decision before we move on)
(Doesn't matter to me) Maria figured it was only a matter of time before dinner would be underway. If only Leon was here, he would have known what to do with cooking food found in the forest. Of course, eating a Pidgey wasn't one of them. She could understand why Evergreen wasn't feeling hungry.
(I don't mind, either.) Peri looked over at the Pidgey's lifeless, feathered body, remembering why he only opted to go for Basculin and other water-dwelling fish. Watching Aurora's reaction... he definitely wouldn't say that he had enjoyed that. At least that strange Lunti fellow was gone - he was sure that the Treecko of his (and him) would not have reacted well to the scenario - perhaps angering Aurora, or even himself. The little girl... Mel, was it?... She was quite the character. It would take him a long time to get used to it - he was never good with children. Perhaps this journey wouldn't be as smooth as he had expected.
(I don't mind) Farrah stayed silent as she watched Aurora stay fast asleep. She hoped Aurora would forget what happened once she wakes up, or she would need to get a Pokémon to use Amnesia on her. The girl wanted to go back to reading her book, but she was too concerned about Aurora's mental health to continue. Being picked on was bad, but seeing someone of the same species, especially a minor, would probably scar her for a lifetime.
@ChocoChicken @Fchicken77 @ShireHime @Jupjami @122 Generation @Tala (we'll move on to Falan, get Misty, and have Brock do his first performance, then.)
You know what? Maybe I'll turn in early for the night. Evergreen removed her sun hat and gently laid down on the space near the fire and started sleeping. Maria too had decided to sleep as well, and used her cloak as a pillow.
Farrah stroked Aurora one last time, before heading back to the tree she once laid against. She leaned against the tree, sitting down and decided to sleep. She experienced enough trouble for a day.
Peri stayed up longer than the others did. He didn't want to take any chances with wild Pokémon, even if they mostly stayed to the forest. Quiver slung over his shoulder, he stayed up to keep watch - he wasn't a very good sleeper, either way.
Kiseki came close to Peri, in her hand a glass of water. "Not sleeping yet, huh?" It was always like this, she was always a person who gets into other people's business, but she has a good reason for it. Concern. Meanwhile, Mina the Audino slept quietly somewhere near the fire. She was feeling colder than usual, and the fire certainly helped.
Perico, visibly a lot more relaxed, nodded. "I don't sleep quickly. Probably doesn't help that I know there are wild Pokémon. Can't fail Brock and his flute before the adventure even picks up, you know?" Now that the commotion and excitement had finally died down, his agitation did too.
