'Let me talk to the ursaring. I am sure we can help me' Mel smiled as pachi nodded. 'We used to help al kinds of Pokémon:
@ShireHime @Tala Is Eternal @122 Generation @Jupjami @ChocoChicken "If it comes to it, I can play Midori to calm the mother Ursaring." Brock assures the group. "I have a hunch that her cub met a terrible fate..."
@ShireHime @Tala Is Eternal @122 Generation @Jupjami @ChocoChicken The house is not far from the guild. You decide to start investigating here.
@ShireHime @Tala Is Eternal @122 Generation @Jupjami @ChocoChicken Brock gathers you all together. "Now then--let's give ourselves an hour to search the house, and find clues the guard may have missed." "If you find a clue, let us know." Misty adds.
"Alright, an adventure!" Lunti shouted as he grinned, eager to begin exploring. "We'll take the top floor!" Bagsik said as the two opened the doors to the house, looking for the staircase.
Peri decided to scan the outside of the house and check for any traces of the Ursaring - or its behaviour.
Evergreen went to check out the bedrooms while Maria investigated the back of the house. If there was any possibility of break-in, there might be clues where they were.
@ShireHime @Tala Is Eternal @122 Generation @Jupjami @ChocoChicken The house hummed with activity as the group searched. The Ursaring tracks the guard had found were still there, but there was no evidence that the Ursaring had attempted getting in.
What Evergreen found in the bedrooms was nothing out of the ordinary. It appeared that everything was in place. Maria too didn't find any hints of break-in, and she doubted that Ursarings could open doors.
@Tala Is Eternal @122 Generation @Jupjami @ChocoChicken The only thing missing was a Teddiursa doll on the girl's bed--this confirmed the mother's story. "Please--find Kuma-chan for me." the girl pleaded, tears shining in her eyes. (Kuma-bear in the Ranseian language. "Kuma-san" or "Kuma-chan" are how Ranseian kids refer to their Teddiursa dolls, if they don't gave them a more specific name.)
(Using '-san' is a very formal term as opposed to '-chan', which is not formal at all. I advise just using '-chan')
(Much better! As a rule of thumb, you can refer to '-kun' for male and '-chan' for female, but that rule isn't absolute either) "Right... We shall find Kuma-chan for you!" Maria said. Indeed we will, won't we, Maria-chan? Evergreen said, then she did a double take. Did Evergreen just say something out of character? Adding that honorific was unlike her.
@Tala Is Eternal @122 Generation @Jupjami @ChocoChicken "Where did you last see Kuma-chan?" Ash asked the girl. "I was playing in the forest a few days ago, and accidentally left Kuma-chan behind when Mama said it was time to go home." the girl explained. "I saw something big take Kuma-chan, and disappear into the forest.
"Maybe it was the Ursaring," Bagsik remarked as he emerged, strangely without Lunti. "Right, Evergreen-baasan~?" he smirked, a mischevious smile on his face as he poked the Gardevoir with his tail. "Or do you prefer ahjumma~?"
@Jupjami Brock braced himself. He was half angry, and half afraid for Evergreen's reaction. Either way, he had Midori ready to play if the worst happened.
@Tala Is Eternal The Ursaring tracks did go to the forest edge. Was it possible that Brock's theory about a mother Ursaring trying to mother a doll was true?
