@Tala Is Eternal Sure enough, Mel's event was next. The prayerflute competition was going on in another location.
They were reasy untill there name was called. As Mel hold Pachi in her arms. "We just need to do what we havw practiced
@Tala Is Eternal @122 Generation @ChocoChicken Meanwhile, Brock had finished his performance for the first round of the prayerflute competition. He was currently in a solid third place, with three more performers to go.
(Will we get the results of the swordsfighting competition before Mel's event, or was that first event only the preliminaries?)
(Same question) Evergreen went off to get some refreshments. She knew she had done this before when she was a Kirlia, but only the atmosphere was a little different compared to her world.
And now it was Mel's turn. While Peri didn't doubt her magic and dancing skills, there was the fact that she likely had less experience than the other competitors, being much younger. Would Serena be participating as well? How would they fare against each other...?
@ChocoChicken (Serena would be here, actually--but she and Mel would be in different divisions. This is not to say they can't meet)
Soon, Evergreen returned to her seat with a few cups of berry juice. She handed one to Peri. Want one? As Evergreen continued watching the competition unfold, with Peri sitting beside her, she wondered how Mel would fare also. Did Mel and Pachi know what they were getting into?
"Oh, yeah please." Chain of thought interrupted, Peri took the cup of juice offered to him. "Have you ever done anything like this? The competitions, I mean."
Evergreen stared off into space. Hmm... No, I can't recall. Maria did it once before, back in our previous adventure. She made an impression like she was going to do a magic attack, but she simply isn't trained in that. As for me, well, I've danced in a tavern before, but never in competition.
(Maybe after there perfomance) Mel and Pachi grabbed there ribbon, As they did the same they practiced before. While Mel was forming her electricity and spinning, Pachirisu jumped above her and send a thundershock to the ribbon, making it even more light. With that she jumped on Mel head as they spin together.
@Tala Is Eternal Applause filled the arena for Mel's performance. All told, her scores were very good for a first time competitor--an 8.5, an 8.8, and a 9.0.
@Tala Is Eternal The leaderboard showed Mel in a solid third place. Many in the crowd were awed by her ability for someone so young. The real question was, could she hang onto that position once the rest of the field performed?
While the tournament organised itself for the next round, Evergreen kept her eyes out in the audience for anyone remotely suspicious again. The Black Rose would be wearing black, hence his name, right? Evergreen looked around carefully while keeping cover under her sunhat.
