(sure) A musician, a sharpshooter, and a cook... I'm starting to wonder how many more skills Brock is hiding from us. Peri admired their leader's skill from a distance.
@ChocoChicken Serena noticed Peri's thoughtful look. "Brock is a guy of many talents, but he never boasts of his ability." "And the best friend anyone could ask for." Ash smiles
@ChocoChicken @Fchicken77 @ShireHime @Jupjami @122 Generation @Tala Brock checked the pot some moments later. "All right, who's hungry?" he asked as he spooned out healthy portions for everyone. "Mm..." Misty savored the smell before digging in.
"Tsarap!" Lunti mumbled as he and Bagsik quickly wolfed down their serving. "Seconds please!" Tsarap = delicious (colloquial)
@Jupjami Brock smiled. "Relax, I made plenty." His pot was a magical cooking pot that never ran out of what he prepared until all had been fed.
The food felt comforting for both Maria and Evergreen, as warmth spread from their throats and to the tips of their hands. The Pinap sauce was spicy and sour, which was welcome, although Evergreen shuddered at the thought of an actual Pokémon being used to make this meal.
@122 Generation Brock was careful not to make the spice too powerful, but just enough to bring out the dish's flavor. "Some Combuskens are bred for eggs and companionship, and some are bred for food." Misty explained.
(Ooh... almost forgot one thing about Maria's personality: spicy food literally will make her cry) Evergreen jumped in surprise. Ah! How could you know what I was thinking?! Does my face really reveal too much? Meanwhile, as Maria ate, tears were starting to well up in her eyes. To anyone, it would have looked like she was being sympathetic to the Combuskens used for food, but that wasn't the case. What really was causing her to cry was the spiciness in the Pinap berry sauce.
Kiseki sat down with everyone else for a tasty portion of the dish. The Pinap sauce was definitely something that she wouldn't have eaten if she was younger for it would be too spicy for her, but her taste buds seem to have gotten used to them after having eaten them for so long. It was for that very reason that Kiseki quickly reacted to Maria whose eyes were starting to tear up. "Ah, Maria! Quick, drink a little bit of this Moomoo milk," she said as she offered her the small bottle with a purple cloth as a cover. "It should help combat the spiciness."
"Wait, this is spicy?" Lunti froze, then dashed full speed to the nearby stream. 'Haynako, kumaripas ng takbo nanaman dahil nalimutan niyang 'di niya kaya ang anghang, (Geez, skedaddling again because he forgot he can't stand spiciness,)' Bagsik sighed as he continued eating.
Mel and Pachi shivered as they sat near the fire. Eating fhere dinner. "This tastss soo good" she smiled. "Can I have more please
@122 Generation @Jupjami @Tala @ShireHime (It's not that spicy, just a slight spicy bite rather than set your mouth on fire hot)
@WavePearl (Spicy or slightly spicy, any kind would drive Maria to sniffles at least) "O-Okay, thank you, Kiseki." Maria gratefully took the bottle and drank a healthy amount of the refreshing Moomoo milk. It did its part to cool her mouth entirely, and the tears slowed down a lot. After giving back the bottle to Kiseki, she wiped her tears with her sleeve. Evergreen, still covering her face, smiled. Now that was one personality of Maria that hadn't changed.
@122 Generation (Okay, that makes sense) Once sure everyone get an even share, the magical cooking pot refilled in case someone asked for more. If no one asked for more, it would leave some leftovers for the next day.
Peri, unlike the others, was eating in silence. The spiciness was there, but unlike the others, he didn't find it as much of a bother. What Serena had said was right - their leader truly was a man of many talents.
@ChocoChicken @Fchicken77 @ShireHime @Jupjami @122 Generation @Tala (Move on to some post-dinner entertainment?)
