@ChocoChicken @Fchicken77 @ShireHime @Jupjami @122 Generation @Tala "Campfire tale?" Serena suggested. "Let me clean up first, and I'll see what I can come up with." Brock assured Serena. With that, he went to work cleaning up the leftovers and the enchanted pot.
(Like me, Lunti has 1% tolerance to spiciness) "Ahh," Lunti said refreshed after returning from the spring, his mouth area soaking wet. 'Tapos ka na ba? (Are you finished?)' Bagsik asked. "Tapos na, (Done,)" Lunti replied happily.
@Tala "Oh, you wanted a little more?" Brock asked. The enchanted pot flew over, and refilled Mel's plate. "There you go. Brock smiled."
They're... so crazy. Evergreen said about Lunti, although she had to admit that they were probably sensitive to spicy stuff too. "Can we play some games?" Maria asked.
@122 Generation "What kind of games?" Brock asked. "I didn't think to bring the chess or mah jong sets..."
"Mahjong...?" Maria said. There has to be some kind of game we can play. Why not? Evergreen said. (Assuming Maria has never seen mahjong in Chiron)
@122 Generation "Do mah jong sets exist in your world?" Brock asked. "What does chess look like in your world? Does it have black and white stones?" (in this world, what Brock means by chess is closer to Go/weiqi)
(But Maria probably is thinking of the international chess) "I've never heard of mahjong, but chess in my world has black and white pieces, and it's a strategy game! But they're not stones, but more like stone carvings of Pokémon. The objective of the game is to capture the opponent's Nidoking." Maria explained. "I've played it a few times with my cousin for fun."
Mell and pachi happily ate it. "So good" they called out. "Um my real mom once played chess" she said
"Oooh, games!" Lunti exclaimed giddily. "What will we play? Taya-tayaan? Tagu-taguan? Agawan Base? Langit Lupa? Bente Uno? Ice-Ice-Water?" Taya-tayaan = tag Tagu-taguan = hide and seek Agawan Base = capture the flag Langit Lupa = tag but with safe areas Bente Uno = infection game
@122 Generation @Tala @Jupjami "This world's version of chess is played on a grid-like board." Brock explained. "The object of the game is to capture points where the grid-lines converge. Whoever fills the grid or captures more points than their opponent, wins."
"I-I see..." Maria remarked. "That sounds interesting, and very different from my version..." How many games does Lunti know about? Evergreen wondered.
@122 Generation "It is a fairly complex game, so it takes years to master it." Serena cautions. "An easier game in the same family is tamashogi, or jewel-chess."
"But as long as we have the time, we should play something," Maria said. "If it's that complex, then aren't there simpler campfire games we could do?"
@122 Generation Serena unpacked her tamashogi set. "Which jewels do you want?" she asked. "Up to eight people can play."
Lunti and Bagsik on the other hand found some round stones and started a game of Holen (Marbles) nearby.
Seeing the colourful game set Serena had brought out had gotten Maria's interest. Evergreen smiled, as she knew Maria had a knack for playing games whenever there was a chance.
