Group RP Pokemon Legends: The Dragon Pearls and the White Ghost (IC thread)

"Um... Maybe we could pass on the old house then," Kotone said.

"Aw. Scared?" Makoto muttered.

"N-No. What makes you say that?" Kotone said, her face flush.

Makoto turned to Pearl Deerling and Ruby Phoenix. "We can either split up or travel together. It's your call."

 

"Fair enough," Fumiko nodded in agreement with her arms folded. "I'm just wondering if there's any weird aura in there..." She specifically mentioned "weird aura" because, well, that's her thing.

 

Whatever smile Kotone had on her face had been replaced by an uneasy grin. "Um... Shall we get going then? I'd rather get there and be done with the pearl and all that."

Makoto shrugged. "Whichever is closer."

 

Kotone clapped her hands together. It was as if the fear of going to an old house had been immediately replaced by the prospect of food. "Yay! Thank you! Itadakimasu!" Then she immediately started on her Bluk pie.

Makoto shook his head. Kotone could really turn from one attitude to another in an instant. He started on his own food after, having an egg meal on rice.

 

So the meals finally came and turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It was especially true for Fumiko's butterscotch-cinnamon pie since Nagisa had already expected his own Pecha sandwich to begin with. And made even better when Luchabull and Emina also got their own portions of what their respective humans were having. I mean, Fumiko loved the cinnamon part and Luchabull loved the butterscotch part, so the pies tasted like heaven to them both. And while Nagisa preferred a balanced mix of sweet and spicy, he knew that his Smeargle had a sweet tooth, hence him requesting Pecha sandwich instead of, say, Qualot sandwich or something.

 

(Maria could barely take cinnamon, I bet)

The aroma from their companions' food caused Kotone to become curious as to what they were eating. She brought her pie with her and looked closely at Fumiko's pie. "Wow... That smells amazing, senpai! Your Pokémon also like pie too?" She even had the nerve to smell the pie a little more closely (although not that close). That said, she had another bite of her own pie.

Makoto's meal was a lot more modest. Egg on rice with a bit of seasoning was all he needed. Watching Kotone, he decided to accompany her just in case if she went overboard. After all, this was Kotone.

Belle was getting all the free energy she needed from the sun. With a healthy amount of water, she was ready to head out.

 

Mai bites into her Oran sandwich, enjoying the taste. She tears off a big piece and hands it to Aaron, who eats it and enjoys it. Mosugaba nibbles on his food bit by bit, though not before coating it with a light Blizzard once again. Taiko gets his fill of both sun and water for the day, also ready to head out.

Once they finish their food, Mai, Aaron, and Mosugaba go outside, where Taiko is waiting. They are also ready to head out.

How about butterscotch, by the way?)

Again, Fumiko was amused by Kotone's attitude for Arceus knows how many times. The blonde didn't specifically request anything, let alone butterscotch-cinnamon pies, yet here they are. Might as well enjoy it while there, right?

Junaiper, meanwhile, was ready to go thanks to his own fill of water and sunshine. No, really. Despite his autumn-themed physical appearance (unlike the Decidueye from outside Hisui whose body is green), Junaiper still could do some photosynthesis.

(By "the Decidueye from outside Hisui", I meant Alolan Decidueye.)

Belle couldn't help looking in Junaiper's direction seeing that there was so little green on him, unlike herself. Before she could make a comment, Kotone had snatched her away (since she had finished her pie) and dragged Makoto out to the forest. If she had more hands, she would have Mai out with her too. It was as if Kotone was trying to get everyone together.

Makoto ended up carrying Kotone's belongings.

 

Mai follows the Sages into the forest, as do her Pokémon. Aaron seems a bit uneasy, and he's on guard.

 

So everyone was heading out to the forest. Nagisa seemed to enjoy himself by randomly waving his paintbrush around without any ink on it. And Fumiko? She simply took in the scenery which was, admittedly, pretty soothing.

(Fun fact: To neurodivergent folks, what Nagisa is doing can be seen as stimming. He usually does it at random times.)

 

Aaron tries to sense the dragon pearl's hadō like before, though it may be too far away. He seems worried if it is, as that might mean that the Beguiling Star Sect either got their hands on it, reached it first, or is simply ahead of them.

(Pesonal fact: I have anxiety. I was diagnosed with it when I was 8, or at least that's what my mom tells me.)

 

......of course it's too far away. Aaron mentally smacks himself for even trying that this early. He soon calms down after a while, asking where the shrine may be.
