Group RP Pokemon Legends: The Dragon Pearls and the White Ghost (IC thread)

Aaron decides to not sense the dragon pearl's hadō, seeing how that went last time. Clearly, it would still be too far away. Before the Lucario just walks away from the group, he asks, [I understand that the Beguiling Star Sect may be out in this forest somewhere, but should we not attempt to cover more ground and try to find the dragon pearl?]

 

(Remind me, did we get to drop the Featherstone off back at the shrine?)

Fumiko was about to try sensing the pearl's aura when Aaron suggested to split up (or was it not to split up?). "Hmm... maybe?" the blonde mage wondered. "The last thing I want is to get lost ourselves tho."

"We'll have to search every part of this forest to find one pearl?! That will take forever!" Kotone complained. She looked at Makoto as if hoping he would agree with her. Instead, Makoto looked the other way, as if searching for the pearl itself. Kotone walked ahead with her staff in hand as if ready to fight at a second's notice, even if it meant smacking someone by mistake.

Unlike Kotone, Makoto decided to hold Belle in his arms to save her some footsteps (that is, if Belle had feet).

 

(Aighty. I just plain forgot, that's all.)

Nagisa, meanwhile, had been sauntering around the forest while Kotone was too busy complaining with Emina by his side, as usual. Unbeknownst to them both, they were heading to the Moss Rock's general direction. Nor did they notice that they were getting away from the group.

 

Kotone has been walking far ahead of everyone else and more than once did she have to turn around to make sure that everyone could catch up. It was at that point that when she turned around that she noticed Nagisa and the Smeargle were not behind her.

"Oh come now, are they that slow?" Kotone crossed her arms.

It had taken a little time for Makoto and Belle to catch up with Kotone.

Oh dear...

Fumiko, who had been walking somewhere in the middle of the group, sighed upon noticing Nagisa's aura straying away from the others. She decided to leave the group behind and try to follow the aura's trail...

Wait a minute.

Was it just her or did she sense a pearl's aura akin to the Featherstone's at the general direction of Nagisa's aura?

A good, random walk later, the painter duo found a moss-covered rock. Nothing special at the first glance until they spotted a random, wild (?) Eevee evolving into a Leafeon nearby. Nagisa, for one, found it fascinating because it was his first time seeing an evolution happening near that rock.

Meanwhile, panic ensued on Emina's part upon realizing that they were straying too far from the others. She was about to try getting Nagisa's attention only to trip over... whatever it was.

(Depending on this Dragon Pearl's visibility, Emina may or may not trip over the pearl itself.)

 

Mai, Aaron, Taiko, and Mosugaba all split up, hoping to find the dragon pearl. Mosugaba flies up, aiming to get an aerial view, though... he doesn't find anything through the trees. The others also seem to be having trouble finding the pearl, and they go back to the group, unsuccessful.

 

Turned out that Emina just stumbled on an ordinary rock (not the Moss Rock itself, mind you). But then she spotted her human curiously walking closer to the newly evolved Leafeon. Knowing his muteness, the Smeargle knew that she had to be the one doing the talking.

[Excuse me,] Emina called out to the Leafeon. [What's going on here?]

 

Peering even closer, Emina spotted a shimmering green stone... wait, no. This thing was too round for an ordinary rock, so it had to be a pearl. The Smeargle took the pearl and carefully handed it to Nagisa. [Nii-chan, think this is the one?]

Before Nagisa could answer though, Fumiko found them first. "There you are!" she caught a breath between her words. "Where do you think you're-- huh?" her scolding was cut off when Nagisa showed her the shimmering green pearl. "Is this... the Dragon Pearl?" the mage asked only for the painter to shrug. "The Leafeon found it first," he signed with his free hand. And as if right on cue, the humans turned to the Leafeon.

 

It then occurred to Kotone that the entire group had dispersed. Quickly, she ran up to Makoto and Belle with worried eyes. “Oh my gosh! Where did everyone go?!”

“No idea,” Makoto replied.

Suddenly worried for everyone, Kotone pulled Makoto around in search of her companions. Unknowingly, she was dragging Makoto and Belle to a completely different direction away from the entrance and away from where the Dragon Pearl was.
