Whereas back in the room, Kotone was still cuddled up against Makoto and was trying to get as much sleep as she could. Makoto still wasn't awake yet either.

After Belle had gotten her fill of sunshine, she had a dash of water to get herself ready to head out. Annoyed that no one had woken up yet, Belle hopped off the window to take a walk outside.

 

(Ah, right. I didn't have enough braincells for this until recently. Apologies. )

"Good day to you too," Nagisa greeted the shopkeeper in -- as usual -- sign. "How much is a standard canvas?" he asked. By "standard canvas", he meant the one humans usually use.

 

(No worries! Suppose we could all give our brains a break)

[Hmph! They're still not up and awake yet,] Belle muttered to herself, having put her arms at her sides. She also went out to the market (as painfully slow as it was, given her size), then went to see Nagisa buying goods and materials. He sure loved painting, didn't he? Maybe she ought to ask him to paint a portrait of her sometime.

 

(I apologize, as well)

Mai and her Pokémon soon wake up, having gotten plenty of rest. Mai gets up, ready to go hunting for the pearls, and her Pokémon get ready to go.

"Fair enough."

That said, Nagisa ended up buying two standard sized canvas as well as 158,188 sen worth of various colored ink. That would be 159,188 sen overall -- about 3/4 of his earning from the last time he opened his pop-up shop (212,250 sen). With that out of the way, Nagisa made his way back to the inn.

Inn

By the time Mai and her Pokémon woke up, Junaiper was busy taking in some sunshine with a half-full bottle of water nearby. Emina was munching a Magost berry while patiently waiting for her human to come back, knowing full well of his desire to restock his ink ASAP. Luchabull was stretching his body and Fumiko was wondering what's for breakfast.

 

Belle took comfort in that Nagisa was doing something he liked. She followed him back to the inn as well. Now that she was outside, she really could get all the sunshine she needed!

Still, at the inn, Kotone wasn’t up yet, and Makoto only started waking up. When he did, he felt a weight on his arm which was Kotone holding onto it.

 

So now Fumiko helped herself to a rice bowl with veggies and roasted Combusken. All while trying to listen to the Spirits' conversation.

 

Mai and her Pokémon also help themselves to some rice bowls, veggies, and roasted Wakasyamo. Aaron seems to enjoy it, as does Mosugaba. The shiny Mosunou coats his food portion in another Blizzard, cooling it down. He nibbles on a tiny bit of food at a time, waiting for his stomach to settle before nibbling on some more food.

 

(I think we have enough party members already; Pearl Deerling is enough)

Makoto and Kotone finally showed up for breakfast in admirable fashion. That is, Kotone was half-asleep and was clutching Makoto's arm the whole time. If anyone didn't know better, it would have been because she was still frightened from yesterday. It was still amusing that even though she was half-asleep, she still stuck close to Makoto's arm and was walking on her feet.

Makoto sat down next to Mai, with Kotone on his other side, and then helped himself to breakfast.
