Prologue: Tears at the Barren Wastelands
My very first story. I'm a fan of Pokémon. After seeing about 17 Mystery Dungeon stories, I've decided to create a story. This story takes place four years after the Dark Crater battle, featuring the partner Pokémon as the main character. Well, enough talking. Time to begin the story!

Dark clouds over shrouded the sky that fateful night. The Barren Wastelands was one of the least favourite areas of explorers; therefore not a single soul even bothered visiting such a deserted land. Yet, two particular 'friends' were in that area.

A Pikachu and Piplup panted, rain drenching the two. The Pikachu and Piplup looked completely different than their species. The mouse had something of a coat of red energy surrounding him. A tiny pair of wings was on his back. The Piplup, he had a blue gem lodged on his left flipper, and his feathers were of a darker shade of blue.

The Piplup started to speak" This battle has gone for too long...It's time...to end this!"He shifted his left flipper down. Instantly, freezing ice started to surround it, even forming on the ground beneath him. The penguin even exhaled cold air."Furosuto..." he muttered. The electric mouse started to growl."I'll bring you back to the guild!"He shouted in anger. An Electro Ball formed on his palm, the same red energy flowing around it.

They leaped high from the ground, their attacks getting closer to one another. The males shouted each other's name before their attacks clashed.

"KOOORRRRUUUU!"The penguin screamed.

"DIAAAMONNDDD!"The mouse named Koru shouted.

The attacks clashed, causing a large explosion that surrounded the Barren Wastelands.

"Dia!" Koru screamed his partner's name. He looked at his surroundings. He was in the crew room. His new partners, Bud Harshirama and Karumayu Sentobu,were sound asleep. Koru relaxed his tensed muscles,wiping his sweat from his forehead."I-It was j-just a dream..."he mumbled to himself.

He sighed deeply, a tear streaking from his eye."Why...why must this happen between us, Dia?"He spoke to himself. It soon escalated to sobbing. That battle had happened four years ago. Yet, it still hurt him to lose the bond between his partner.

He slowly wiped his tears away, looking through the open window. Speaking softly to himself, he said the following sentence.

"Dia...No matter what happens,I'll promise you...that we'll be together as partners again."

Author's note: I had to think about this storyline. Believe me, it was darn hard. FYI, I'm horrible in English, so tips would help me a lot.

Also, I would like some OCs for some teams. For example, I'll need help building a certain antagonistic organisation.

Here's Koru's profile as a start.

Name: Koru Izungo
Gender: Male

Species: Pikachu
Personality: Koru is a kind and helpful character. He does not notice it, but he has powerful charismatic talents that attract females. When a tough situation takes place, he pulls out a serious nature, usually defending his allies.
Hobby: Training with his friends
Goal: To find his partner, Diamond, and bring him back to Treasure Town
Appearance: Unlike other Pikachu, Koru has slight whiskers around his cheeks. He also has a large tuft of fur growing from his forehead. He wears a light blue ribbon that belonged to Diamond around his forehead,under his tuft of fur.
History: Koru had himself involved in large events when he joined Wigglytuff's Guild with the Piplup that claimed to be a human in the past. Shortly, after they defeated Darkrai, Diamond went off for a solo mission. He returned with a completely different attitude that he did not have. This sparked off a battle between Koru in the Barren Wastelands after a few months. After losing the battle, Koru left the Guild to train for two years. He met a male Chespin and a male Chimchar, named Bud Harshirama and Karumayu Sentobu, and later formed a team with them. Since then, Koru has been striving to find Diamond.
Moves: Electro Ball (only from palm), Double Team, Substitute, Quick Attack
Special Moves: Mega Electro Ball: Charges a more powerful Electro Ball with a Substitute. (Don't worry! I'll make more moves for him!)
Alignment: Team Leader

OK. So, the story begins after the prologue. You guys were introduced to Team Hiro, right? You may be wondering about Diamond, or what I'd like to call 'Dia', he WILL appear in the later chapters. But time is not of the essence here.

Btw, I own Pokémon...(Ha!Ha! Just Kidding!).But I do own Team Hiro, and more upcoming members.

Chapter 1 Team Hiro's Mission

"Whew! That went pretty well!"Koru said to his teammates, Bud and Karumayu. The three rested on a wooden log in the area.

Koru was busily training with his teammates in the training grounds. It was what he usually does in his free time. The happy-go-lucky Chespin grinned."Well, of course! Karu and I've been working our coordination, Leader!" Karumayu, or "Karu" for short by his teammates, nodded in agreement."Yes, Bud. You're getting better in your Pin Missile attacks!" He shrugged his shoulders. "Although, we lost to Koru again..."

Bud scratched the back of his head, "Ha ha...Today's our, hmm..." He tapped his fingers, trying to count up their losses. "...11th loss against Leader! And we beat him only once!" He finished. Koru patted the Chimchar's back. "Don't worry; I'm happy that you guys are working well with each other. Keep up the good work! "

"There you guys are!"Bidoof's voice was heard. The trio turned towards him. The plump mouse was panting from the running. "What's up, Bidoof?"Bud asked. Bidoof took a few deep breaths before he answered. "Guildmaster Wigglytuff has a special mission for you!"

"Really?" Koru asked, hopping off from the log. "Well, Chatot told me when I bumped into him." Bidoof answered. "Gosh, to tell you guys the truth, I'm really envious of you! Tell me all about the mission when you guys get back, yup, yup!"

Soon, after getting the message from Bidoof, Team Hiro headed to Wigglytuff's chamber. As usual, the legendary Guildmaster was resting on his chair, happily playing with his Perfect Apple. Chatot rested on the wooden perch beside Wigglytuff. Koru stood by the door, giving it a knock. "Come in." Wigglytuff said. The males headed in the Guildmaster's room. When he saw the team, he gave a warm greeting. "Oh, Team Hiro! Nice to see you again, friendly friends!"

Wigglytuff was one of the strongest Guildmasters in the region. His Hyper Voice attack is extremely powerful that it is able to blow walls apart, which is a significant reason why anyone who meets him doesn't dare to upset him, especially Chatot. He has once experienced Wigglytuff's tantrums, and he tries his best to not recreate that event for his whole life. The guild members respected him highly. Koru looks at him like his idol, a reason why he wants to be a Guildmaster as well. Some teams think that Koru may have 'inherited' the Hyper Voice from the Guildmaster.

"Nice to see you again, Guildmaster." Koru replied. "Uh, what is the special mission you wanted to give us?" Wigglytuff was balancing the Perfect Apple on his head. "Oh, yes! That mission!" The Balloon Pokémon said. "At Inferno Pit, a strange anomaly is occurring there. A team is sent there to investigate, but we haven't heard from them for two weeks."

"So, you want to send us to Inferno Pit?" Karu asked. "What is the team's name?" Wigglytuff turned to Chatot. The parrot cleared his throat. "The team is called 'Paradox'. It consists of three female Pokémons; An Axew, a Tyrunt and a Togepi. They have recently joined the Guild and are now Gold Rank." He explained. "The team should be easy to spot. The Axew is tan and brown skinned, and she wears cloth bandages around her claws."

Wigglytuff looked at Koru. He took a bite from his Perfect Apple. "Koru, since the anomaly is present, the Pokémon have gone berserk, even the normally docile ones." He warned the Pikachu. "Please take caution when finding Team Paradox."

Koru patted his chest lightly, "Don't worry, Guildmaster! Just leave the mission to us!" He said proudly. Wigglytuff smiled at the team, "That's the energetic Koru we know!"

The team left the Guild, stopping at the entrance. "Koru." Karu told Koru. Koru turned his head towards the fire chimp. "Hmm? What is it?" He asked. Karu looked at Bud. "Inferno Pit's an area infested with Fire-types, isn't it? We have to be cautious, especially you, Bud." Bud did not seem to worry about the area, yawning. "Don't worry. I'll watch your backs! Besides, I've got Rollout to help me fend off those Fire-types!"

Karu nodded. "Yes, I guess so." He said. Koru soon knew what Karu was trying to do. "Karu." He said, "Just because the area we're headed to is unfavourable to one of our team members, doesn't mean we have to make them bail out on the mission." Karu sighed, "All right, Koru. I'll try to refrain from babying anyone."

Bud looked at the parchment regarding their mission. "Hmm... Inferno Pit's past the seas. It'll take us some time to get there." He said. Koru looked at Bud. "Well, if we ask Lapras for a ride, I'm sure he won't mind. After all, he once brought me to Hidden Land years ago." He suggested.
Bud nodded in agreement. "...Yeah! We'll actually reach there in no time, Leader!" Karu nodded as well. "I hate water, but I'll agree on this ride only once."

Koru couldn't help but laugh, walking towards the beach. Little did he know that this would be where his next big adventure would begin.

I don't think I liked how this turned out...Need OCs...Anyway, a member of the "Shakai" will make their appearance in Inferno Pit!

Personality: Bud is a happy-go-lucky character, not worrying about anything. He is a fun character, thinking of crafting jokes for his depressed allies. Many wonder why a childish character like him is on Team Hiro. He is actually a good fighter when he is not fooling around.
Hobby: Playing
Goal: To become a strong Chesnaught and help his village.
Appearance: Normal Chespin, wears a ribbon tied on his neck.
History: Bud grew up in a village, happily playing all the time. When he grew older, he left his village to train at a Guild. On the way, he met his childhood friend Karumayu, who was trying to find Treasure Town. Soon, after that, they bumped into Koru, who was training with his 'Master', an Electivire, and formed Team Hiro.
Moves: Needle Arm, Rollout, Vine Whip, Pin Missile
Special Moves: Needle Barrier: He plunges his Needle Arm in the ground to form a shield to protect himself. Unfortunately, it does not work on all bases.

Name: Karumayu Sentobu (Karu for short)
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Level: 31
Species: Chimchar
Personality: Karu shows a caring nature for his friends, which often leads to him worrying too much about their condition. A strategist who tries to analyze a solution out of battles, and support his allies.
Hobby: Collecting old coins.
Goal: To become stronger, like his friend Bud.
Appearance: Normal Chimchar, with the exception of wearing a rune bracelet on his left wrist.
History: Karu has been close friends with Bud since childhood. His family moved away to another area. When he left the village, he was initially heading to a school in Treasure Town. He got lost and ended up meeting Bud, who was heading to Wigglytuff's Guild. The two later met Koru and formed Team Hiro.
Moves: Fire Spin, Fury Swipes, Taunt, Dig
Special Moves: Fire Rocket: He wraps himself in a fiery veil before dashing at the target at an incredible speed.
