Most of the team had chosen to focus on the flock of Spearow. Most of them had been knocked out by the onslaught of attacks, and the few that were still standing were scattered around and disoriented. As for the Bunnelby, Quinn and Muni were taking care of them. Muni was underneath the cart, swiping his claws at the one that had been paralyzed. Quinn lunged forward and coiled herself around the other Bunnelby, squeezing it as hard as she could. Though its arms were pinned, it still had control over its legs and ears. It began running around, bashing Quinn with its ears, desperately trying to get her off.
Still fighting the few Spearows that were standing, Ethan heard a strange noise comming from behind. Turning around, he noticed that Quinn was wrapped around one of the Bunnelbys, who was currently running around and bashing the Dratini. Ignoring the Spearow, Ethan ran towards the Bunnelby. He used his Confusion in an attempt to subdue the Bunnelby, and to give Quinn an easier time dealing with it.
The remaining Spearrows seemed disorientated already, so the Popplio cut off her disarming voice and powered up a water gun instead, aiming it at the flying types.
Muni switched it up with Hypnosis, Angeni spewing Embers at the birds. "..I..I think we're doing it, guys!", Angeni smiled.
Seeing everyone attacking apearow, Eric smiled. He used Leer on spearows in an attempt to lower defense. His plan was to lower defense by a stage or two and then attacking 'em again as then it will be easeir to knock em down.
With the assistance of Ethan, the Bunnelby went down quickly. The one underneath the cart had been put to sleep by Muni, so the only threat at that moment was what remained of the Spearow flock. Only three of them were still standing, and they'd all been severely weakened at this point. Quinn wrapped herself around one of them, and while it did struggle, it didn't resist nearly as much as the Bunnelby did.
Eric seeing spearow weak, used vine whip on one of them and then used tackle. 'it should do' He thought to himself as spearow fell on ground.
With Quinn and Eric already taking care of the other two, Song unleashed her water gun at the third one, a powerful jet of water expelled from her mouth. Surely that would be enough.
Eric and Song took care of the other two Spearow, and the one Quinn wrapped herself around had stopped moving as well. Now that the fight was over, Quinn dug through her bag and pulled out one of the Oran berries she'd bought earlier. She was pretty banged up after being bashed around by that Bunnelby, but when she popped the berry into her mouth, the pain seemed to vanish. That was the first time Quinn had seen that many Pokémon attack at once. She assumed that they were just unlucky, and that their next few encounters would be easy. This was quickly proven false, though. Just as Lofton began to appear on the horizon, they were attacked again, this time by a trio of Litleo. One leapt at Muni, one went for Ethan, and the last one, rather than going for one of the team members, blew flames straight at the cart. Of course, their client noticed. "Do I smell burning? What on earth is going on out there?" The Litleo were the least of their concerns, as a large herd of Pokémon was headed their way. Quinn couldn't quite tell what they were from that distance, but they appeared to be moving in some kind of zigzag pattern. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Meanwhile, back in Radiant Town, the marketplace had devolved into chaos. For the past few hours, wares had been disappearing from the market stalls, and whoever was behind it had done it without being seen by anyone. The merchants were starting to get restless, throwing accusations back and forth. The one thing they failed to notice, though, was two Phantump twins chuckling to themselves in a nearby alleyway. "They're at each other's throats, sis." One of them whispered. The other one snickered. "Come on, let's get out of here." Picking up their bags full of stolen goods, they drifted down the alleyway, away from the squabbling merchants. All they had to do was get out of town, and they would be able to get away with their crime.
Song quickly did another disarming voice before switching gears and launching another water gun, the jet of water hitting the Litleos. Thank goodness there was a water type on the team. For the herd of Pokémon however, they were still too far off for her to identify and to attack.
Muni Growled, attempting to toss the pouncing Litleo to the ground as he quickly considered Hypnosis or Bite. "Muni!", Angeni squeaked out, worried. She fired a Acid attack at the lion Pokémon that attacked the cart. "Gh..I'm fine!", Muni retorted as he decided to use a sharp Bite attack.
“What’s happening here...?” Fleuret silently said as he saw merchants fighting over the stolen wares. He had just arrived at the marketplace. Not even long after arriving at Radiant Town he saw trouble already before he could even get there. He saw it stirring up already, joining the guild could wait until he solved this. As he looked around trying to find any clues it didn’t take long to see a pair of Phantump carrying large suspicious bags away from the area from a marketplace not too far from where he was. ‘Those must be the thieves!!!’ He thought as he tailed after them, keeping his distance to not be seen by them.
Seeing as one of the Litleos were after him, Ethan tried to use double team to increase his chances of evading the feline. Sadly, the Litleo still managed to get him, succesfully pinning him to the ground. While pinned to the ground, the Litleo began attacking him with bites and scratches. Once Ethan recovered from the initial shock, he began to use his confusion to try to got the feline off of him. Once he barely got the Litleo off of him, he quickly stood up and used his Confuse Ray on it in hopes to at least distract him.
Eric was standing and suddenly Litleo attacked him. He swiftly junped off and used his vine whip to take hold of Litleo's legs but it was strong. It dragged Eric ln ground and Eric let go of it. Eric then used tackle to tackle Litleo in hopes that this will do at least some damage to it.
One of the Litleo, in its confused state, attacked the one that was trying to burn the cart. Somewhat startled, the other one fought back. With both of them focused on each other, they became an easy target for everyone else. The one that remained, after seeing Song's Water Gun, knew that she was the biggest threat. Ignoring all of the others, it ran straight at her. By that point, the herd of Pokémon had gotten close enough to be clearly seen. It was a herd of Zigzagoon, and a pretty big one at that. Before Quinn could even respond, several of them came at her at the same time, pinning her to the ground. She couldn't get herself coiled around any of them, but at that point, she used a move she'd never been able to use before. With a flick of her tail, she stirred up a Twister, which swept up all of her attackers. There were still a lot more, though, that had decided to go for the others. She tried to use Thunder Wave on a few of them to help her teammates out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Heading further into the alleyway, the twins approached a wooden board leaning against a building. They moved the board aside to reveal a hole in the wall. "Get in, quick!" one of them whispered to her brother. They both quickly slid inside, struggling for a moment to pull the bag through behind them. After they'd gotten themselves and their stolen wares through, they moved the board to cover the hole back up. Very few Pokémon were willing to venture down into Radiant Town's sewer system. It was the perfect escape route for this reason. As long as nobody saw them escape down there, there was no chance of them getting caught. "Sis..." the brother whispered. "Do you think somebody's following us?" The sister laughed. "Of course not. Nobody's ever seen us before, right?" The sewers were like a maze, but they knew which path they had to take. Once they'd gotten there, they'd be outside the city's walls, and from there they could escape into Tranquil Woods.
‘I see you.’ The Zorua thought as he spied the Phantump entering the hole in the wall. He showed off a slight grin. ‘I just need to make sure I catch them off guard while they’re in! Or at the very least not letting them get away from my sight!’ After waiting a short moment to make sure that he wouldn’t be noticed by the ghosts. He went forward to the hidden wall, slowly uncovering it just enough so that he could slip in without too much trouble. He got in and out the cover back to where it was. As he entered, he thought of ways to try and get at them.
Havig been distracted, Song was taken off guard when the stary Litleo had barreled into her, and growled in pain. Throwing it off her with a close range watergun, she barely managed to avoid taking damage from the Thunder Wave Quinn had sent out. "No Electric attacks please!" She said in distress as she opened her mouth for another disarming voice, hoping to disorientate their attackers again.
Angeni tried to poison the onslaught with her Smog attack, and Muni tried to lull the other attackers into sleep with Hypnosis.
Watching as the Litleo he confused is now attacking one if its allies, Ethan decides to attack the one who wasn't confused. Keeping his distance, he used his Confusion on the Litleo that was getting attacked by its ally. Getting attacked by two Pokémon, the Litleo easily went down. Sadly, his Confuse Ray seemed to have worn off on the Litleo, since it quickly turned around and lunged at Ethan. Having no time to react, he took the full brunt of the attack.
Song's Water Gun had knocked out one of the Litleo, and the other had been knocked out by its confused ally. With two of the Litleo gone, and most of the Zigzagoon paralyzed, poisoned, or asleep, the fight was beginning to turn in their favor. Quinn would've tried to paralyze more of them, but since Song had almost been hit by the last one, she decided against it. Instead, she whipped up another Twister, trying to catch as many Zigzagoon as possible and get them closer together. This way, her teammates could hit more of them at once. With Ethan keeping the one remaining Litleo busy, she assumed that this fight would be over quickly if the rest of them focused on taking care of all of the Zigzagoon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The twins made their escape through the sewers, taking a specific path to avoid getting lost. "Left, right, straight, right, left, left." The brother quietly repeated to himself, much to the annoyance of his sister. A dull thud echoed through the tunnel as she swung her bag at him. "Quit your mumbling! It's not that hard to remember." They quickly made their way through the tunnels, following those directions whenever they came to an intersection. This led them to their exit point, near the edge of town. A grate up above them would lead back to street level, but they couldn't make their escape until all of the Pokémon were gone. Thankfully for them, this part of town wasn't nearly as crowded as the marketplace. The brother peered through, waiting for the few Pokémon in the streets to clear away. "There's only a few of them, sis. We might not need to wait for too long this time."
