What do you primarily use to play the DS and 3DS Pokémon games: the D-Pad (arrow keys)/Circle Pad or stylus? Things like selecting moves, items, and party members as well as using the PC are among some of the features that utilize either one of these capabilities.

I mostly use the D-Pad out of habit but almost always go with the stylus for messing around in the PC as I find that to be much faster. Occasionally I'll swap to using the stylus for moves (doing that now in Alpha Sapphire) but it doesn't stick for long. :(

Probably the D-Pad. I'm used to it the most but I like using the stylus a lot too. For actual walking however, I prefer the circle pad!

I used the stylus when i had to scroll through items in the bag or when using the PC. For everything else I use the D-Pad.

Circle pad for walking/biking, D-pad for most other things, stylus for when I'm in the boxes (Well, D-pad on that as well when I'm lazy).

I generally (like you said) use the D-pad or circle pad out of habit. However my favorite control scheme was HG/SS where it was set up to use both. you could toggle auto run off or on, and interact with a touch pad A button, it felt very good to me, and had your classic controls as well. it made it easier to keep my stylus handy for the PC and naming Pokémon.

I use the circle pad for just about everything, haha. I remember shiny chaining with the d-pad, though. When I complete AS, I'm probably going to be doing a lot more =w=

I use the Circle Pad a lot! Though in competitive battling and nicknaming I use the stylus since it's easier and I don't screw up as much haha.

Circle pad for moving in the overworld, stylist or finger for selecting most things.

Ever since I got the 3ds, I have been using the circle pad for everything except for the menus.

*ahum* I like using the stylus a bit more, but for aforementioned reasons, I actually don't get to use it all that often...

Since my DS is kind of messed up, I use my 3DS all the time now and to be honest, the D-Pad on my 3DS has barely been touched xD I use the Circle Pad to walk around, because it feels way better and I use the stylus to select moves and other stuff, because it's faster. So yeah anything but the D-Pad.

I use the circle pad for everything since it's really comfortable for me. I almost never use a stylus because I lose it half the time and I'd rather keep my hands on the 3ds because I'm afraid of dropping it. xD

I prefer using the circle pad, due to not particularly liking the placement of the D-pad on the 3DS. ;; Even for games like Mystery Dungeon.

I use the D-pad because the stylus hurts my fingers and I'm afraid of it damaging the screen for some reason, haha. Plus, there is a chance of slipping and accidentally touching something something you do not want to if you use the stylus.I never use the stylus on a game unless it is the only option.

Circle pad for movement because free movement is cool. Also, SNEAKY SNEAKY BRENDAN SNEAKS UP ON YOU. Stylus for menus because it just feels more natural to me!

While battling, I tend to touch the screen because it is a lot easier to make a decision that way without messing up. When walking around, I generally use the Circle Pad unless I'm going through a tight area where I need full control.

Circle Pad for walking/skating/cycling, D-pad for pretty much everything else. I really only use the stylus when I'm forced to (like with Pokémon Amie).

I always use the stylus when you can use it, but I use the circle pad in pretty much every other situation. The stylus has always been easy and quick for me to use, so I do prefer using it when I can.
