The Pokédex is rife with entries mentioning a Pokémon's "prey", and the various ways they attack, ensnare and eat that prey. But it's not very clear on what the prey is, most of the time. There are exceptions, where one Pokémon is stated to prey on another, but for those others that just say "prey", what do you think it's referring to? Be it Pokémon or human, or just plant, I'd love to hear what you think these thing eat!

Well for birds, they most likely eat small bug type Pokémon. I remember in the anime about there being something about Bird Pokémon being notorious for eating small Caterpie. Magikarp is also a common victim when it comes to seafood, so they are most likely the prey for most sea Pokémon since they are so abundant. I could really see Pokémon eggs as a high source for most carnivorous Pokémon diets. Plant like Pokémon like Cherubi could also be victim to the herbivore group of Pokémon. I guess it all really depends on where the Pokémon is at that dictates what their prey can be. I feel se bad for all of the defenseless bug type Pokémon out their being eaten by bird Pokémon... since when you start your journey, there is always at least one area where both bug and bird Pokémon live together. :( I guess that's the Pokémon food chain for you....

The one that I remember most is Glalie. It freezes its prey rock solid and then starts to eat it leisurely. We all know that in the Pokémon World that being frozen doesn't kill you, so it is eating the Pokémon alive, slowly.

And the award for the most sadistic Pokémon is... Glalie.

There is a Magikarp entry that directly says that it is common prey.

In Pokémon Silver it says, "For no reason, it jumps and splashes about, making it easy for predators like Pidgeotto to catch it mid-jump."

Ah the Pokédex, always so cruel :D

Wild Pokémon come close to our animals, so them eating each other seems quite likely

Well since many of the Pokémon are based on animals in our world I wouldn't doubt that some of them get eaten. It would definitely be small bug and fish Pokémon, maybe some grass Pokémon get eaten because they're plants or maybe they're poisonous who knows.

well pokemos most likely prey on other pokemons and follows a system kinda like the real food chain, unless there exist animals from our world, then they most likely would be the prey of all pokemons. We heard about Indian elephants in the Pokédex before, so it's not unlikely they could exist (that or it's just used to create an example for the person who plays the game)
