    "TV ads were my main source of promotion when I was touring Johto, and it worked out very well. I think I'd like to do a different kind of commercial this time. Something not so flashy and more convincing. I have an example on hand if you'd like to see what I'm talking about."

    (It has a very drastic, yet straight to the point kind of theme. A few have the girls performing previously unreleased songs, while others incorporate a dance routine with some vocals thrown in to tie it all together.)

    The montage wasn't perfect, but it did give everyone a feel of what a commercial should be. Alyssa did agree there were a few things missing however.

    "Okay..." Misty began as Brock turned off the DVD player. "While this does have flaws that need to be addressed, let's first discuss what it does right. You've done your homework, know your strengths, and you understand your target audience--that's good. Most importantly, this is very unique, and is bound to stand out among the millions of promos released every year."

    "Now, keep in mind that what I'm about to list does not mean your promo is terrible--far from it." Brock cautioned. "It does many things right, but I noticed a few aspects that are rough around the edges, or need to be cut or reworked."

    He went on "For example, you want to be careful about using too much panning over a series of photos, graphics, talking heads or some combination thereof. Used sparingly, this can be used to great effect, but do it too much, and your promo may come off as cheap looking. Secondly, remember that the primary purpose of your promo is to get your name in your audience's heads. In essence, act out the emotional involving aspects of your performing style."

    "It's the first promotion of any kind I had ever seen, so I wasn't quite sure what to think, but after looking at it again, a lot of the flaws really jump out at me. I'll have to keep most of this in mind if I want my promotions to be successful."
