@Sugar The coffee shop was not busy, since it was a break. But Miracolore was present to provide some relaxing music for the patrons--a far cry from their epic show the day before.
Alyssa took her tea and croissant and took a seat at a nearby table. Her head was absolutely pounding, but she needed to unwind in one way or another, and tea was the best way to do it.
(Quick indirect cameo here!) As the music played in the coffee shop, there were also small advertisements on each table with a picture of Martine and her Authentique Series guitar.
@Sugar For many on campus, Brock's simple, no-frills style of guitar playing was well loved. Many were amazed at how he would use simpler fingerings for difficult and complex chords, making his music accessible to even beginning players. He just smiled as he played a relaxed melody evoking a sunny day--coffee shops and open mic nights were some of his favorite venues. It was a welcome change from the huge arena concerts, but regardless of where Miracolore performed, he wouldn't trade soon to be five years of performing for the world, and neither would his unitmates jamming with him.
Alyssa took a sip of her tea before laying her head down on her free arm to soothe her headache. The music was really soothing and the cafe being relatively unbusy helped her relax a lot more than usual. The one day Alyssa didn't bring any aspirin was probably a good thing cause tea and music can cure almost anything.
"Okay, maybe this will be a good day." Alyssa poked her head up and raised her hand to make a request.
@Sugar "If you want to leave a request, fill out a request card and put it in the box up front." a waitress reminded Alyssa as she gave a request card and a pencil. "Keep in mind that acoustic instruments are being played, so if you must hear an electric song, it has to be easy to do unplugged."
Alyssa filled out the request card rather carefully. The song selection she very carefully thought out. She picked out something soothing, yet still slightly upbeat. (Alyssa's request)
@Sugar Brock smiled when he saw Alyssa's request. "Nice choice...I'm gonna play it a couple steps lower so it's easier for all of us to play and easier for me to sing." With that, he started the gentle intro, giving the original Japanese lyrics a lilting rhythm with a gentle strength. Misty happily sang backup, and Ash lit up the crowd with the harmonica solo.
Alyssa raised her teacup in an approving gesture. To Alyssa, there was nothing quite better than a cup of tea and some light music while sitting down in a cafe. Her headache had miracously healed up as well, so maybe this was going to be one amazing day. She was still awaiting her call from the studios concerning her promotions, of which she was still nervous about.
@Sugar Onstage, Miracolore conferred as to what to play for their next set. Since Ash had the harmonica out, Misty suggested one of their bluesy numbers.
Alyssa had not heard any blues tunes in a long time. She wodered which one they would play, hopefully one she enjoyed, had never heard before, or even both.
@Sugar Brock snapped to count Misty off into a more upbeat melody. Ash then joined in on the second tune, before fiddle and harmonica played together. (what they play)
Alyssa unconsciously tapped her foot to the beat, and then her other foot started to do the same. The song was quite upbeat and lively. She once again made and approving gesture with her teacup and gladly led a tune of clapping along to the tune.
