@Sugar @122 Generation Brock sensed the excitement in the air--adventures were always a favorite with any audience. With that, he snapped to count Miracolore off into an interlude simulating Eamon's journey
@Sugar @122 Generation When the song ended, Brock went on. "Eamon traveled a long way, until he came to a house by the roadside. The lady of the house welcomed him, and asked where he was going." He intones "Eamon told the lady of his quest, but the lady tried to get him to turn back. No mortal had yet survived the perils and challenges on the way to the World's End."
@Sugar @122 Generation Brock next reveals who the lady is. "This lady was one of the sisters of the Queen of the Lonely Island. Her sister had told her all that had happened to Eamon, and the reason why he journeyed to the World's End. After dinner that evening, she told him what she knew of the World's End." "The queen of the World's End has an enormous castle." Serena fills in the dialogue. "She has a countless army of monsters to guard the castle and the flaming well. There are millions upon millions of them, of every shape and size. When they sleep, they sleep for seven years without waking. The queen has twelve attendant maidens, who live in twelve chambers. She is in the thirteenth and innermost chamber herself. The queen and the maidens sleep during the same seven years as the monsters. When the seven years are over, they all awaken, and remain awake for seven years. If anyone could enter the castle during the seven years of sleep, they could do what they liked."
Alyssa mittered gravely once again. There was clearly something in her mind that knew something was wrong.
@Sugar @122 Generation "The lady then played a magic whistle to the sky..." Brock narrates. Ash fills in the Zelda whistle theme on his own tin whistle, to giggles from the crowd. "...and all the bird Pokémon of the world gathered around her." Brock went on. "She asked each one in turn where it had come from, but none of them seemed to know of the World's End. Finally, an old Braviary said that he had come from the World's End. He told the lady that its residents had been sleeping since the day before."
Alyssa stayed silent for this scene. She wasn't about to comment on what could be something very curious.
@Sugar @122 Generation "The aunt dismissed the birds; and sang to the hills..." Brock narrates. Epona, Epona, come out here by me! Serena sings in character to thunderous cheers.
@Sugar @122 Generation "Hello, Eamon--son of the king of the west lands and the queen of the Lonely Island." Misty fills in Epona's dialogue. "Oh"s go up as some figure out what the prophecy from before meant. "This was the first time our hero had heard of his father." Brock explains. "He had often wondered who he was, but had never seen his father's face until he came to rescue him the first time."
@Sugar @122 Generation "The prophecy earlier wasn't referring to two sons." a boy explained to Alyssa. "It was referring to the son of the king and the queen of the Lonely Island--that's Eamon."
It didn't take Alyssa long to figure that out. Still, she didn't have a good feeling about what was going to happen.
@Sugar @122 Generation "Epona told Eamon..." Brock narrated. "Hold on tight, I will clear the river of fire at a single bound, and pass the poison trees." Misty cautions as Epona. "If you touch any part of the trees at all, the poison will kill you in a moment. As we approach the castle of the World's End, you must jump from my back through an open window that is there; if you don’t get in at the window, you’re done for. I’ll wait for you outside till you are ready to go back home."
@Sugar @122 Generation "Eamon did as Epona told him." Brock went on over an exciting melody. "They crossed the river of fire, escaped the touch of the poison trees, and as Epona shot past the castle, Eamon jumped through the open window..." He plays a gliss up one string for effect, to some giggles. "...and landed safe and sound inside."
