@Sugar @122 Generation "All right, that was very good." the auditioner told Martine. "Parts will be posted in a few days." (fast forward to part posting day?)
@Sugar @122 Generation A few days later, word that the parts had been posted spread like wildfire. A large crowd was making their way to the arts building, with more joining the excited throng.
Alyssa managed to get to arts building very early. She had went to sleep earlier than usual the night previous so shed get here before it got too crowded. She almost screamed her lungs out in happiness when she saw her name. She had indeed gotten the part. Apparently dialing up some emotions did help...
@Sugar @122 Generation In addition to Ash, Misty, and Brock in the title roles, Alyssa would play Princess Caliste. Martine would play Nichole.
This was really a surprise to Alyssa. It wasbt the first time she'd auditioned for a play, but it was the first time she had gotten a part. Nevertheless, she was glad both her and Martine got their parts.
@Sugar @122 Generation Those that got parts were to pick up their scripts in the arts building. The readthrough was later that afternoon.
Having slept in but also checked on the arts building for the commotion, Martine was a little confused. What was the hype about? Unfortunately, she decided to have lunch and would wait for the crowd to pass before seeing what was going on. She went to the food court.
Alyssa ran all the way from the arts building to the food court to tell Martine the good news. Falling no less than half a dozen times, she made it. She spotted Martine and went over to her. You could tell that Alyssa had some amazing news.
Martine had just sat down with a very simple lunch - a berry sandwich, and fried berries. Looking up, she saw a certain aqua-haired girl with smiles that meant something big was happening. "Bonjour!" Martine greeted. "Something on your mind?"
"I didn't see you at the arts building to see the part posting, so I came here to relay the good news to you." Alyssa had to catch her breath for a minute before continuing. "Happy to say I got the role as Princess Caliste, and you got the role as Nichole. We have to pick up our scripts in the arts building, readthrough is a little bit later."
"Really?!" Martine said. "That is good news! So, it looks like we'll be the protagonists together." She glanced at her lunch and started eating. "I doubt we'll be able to get our scripts easily, with that kind of crowd outside right now. Want something to eat?"
@Sugar @122 Generation (Actually, the princess and her lady are major supporters, not the main roles)
@Sugar @122 Generation The arts building hummed with activity as cast and crew picked up scripts. Some were excited that Ash's Meloetta, Melody, was narrating the show.
@Sugar @122 Generation The readthrough was not a readthrough per se--it was an overview of the plot, and an opportunity for the actors and understudies to ask questions.
